We sat at the bar overlooking the bar, love the live music in the background. Great service, great food and wonderful atmosphere! Thanks to Katie our server and special thanks to Jenny!

We had tasty lobster bisque, tasted sherry, but light on lobster pieces, think it's ground but would have appreciated pieces, like the place near my home. The crab cakes were very crabby, and shrimp w/ grits was a generous portion.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Yes, we do puree the lobster for the bisque. I have passed your comments on to the kitchen and we will consider adding more larger pieces of lobster meat. Glad you enjoyed everything! More

Nice atmosphere and great waiter however the oysters Rockafeller were the smallest oysters I've ever seen! The lobster was small compared to the price. I've ordered direct from Maine and paid as much for a much bigger one. My Lobster Newburg was so so. If you have never been to Maine or the Gulf coast then you'll love it. Otherwise,... More

Thank you for your business and review. I am glad you were happy with your service. I am sorry you were disappointed with your meal. All of our seafood comes fresh from the coast. However, the size may vary. Lobsters are all one to one and 1/8 pound. The meat inside the shell may vary. We should have noticed that... More

Great menu. Even if you're allergic to shellfish(crawlies), like me, the menu is broad enough for all. We enjoyed the mussels & clams before dinner, delicious! Everyone was extremely happy with their entrées. There is one steak on the menu - one. However, at a seafood restaurant I wasn't surprised, or disappointed. The NY strip is excellent! Our daughter is... More

Let the delicious, fresh seafood trap you! Everything we tried was great and everything we saw being served on our neighbor's tables looked mouthwatering, too!

The seafood here is like being at the coast. It is really fresh, so fresh they sometimes run out. But that is better than getting served frozen seafood. Corrine was our waitress and she was so pleasant and attentive, we loved her. I had oysters Rockefeller and a lobster roll. It was good before but even better now. My wife... More

We had dinner on Sunday evening. Must have been a busy weekend at The Lobster Trap because by Sunday evening they were out of oysters! We had Caesar Salads, Mussels and shared a Lobster Roll. Very nice meal. Bar has nice selection of wine and single malt scotch.

My mother loves lobster so we took her and my dad out for dinner. Waiter was sensational, food prepared to perfection and delicious. Portion sizes were just right. We had two appetizers and four entree's and loved them all. Noise level was a bit loud for my 70 something parents but we sat in a booth and could carry on... More

Our first trip to the Lobster Trap was a disappointment! The fried oysters were off, the crab cakes from the bakery floor, the shrimp and grits had a bitter sauce with grape tomatoes. Our waitress was good, but I won't return to pay these prices in Asheville with so many really dependable great places nearby.
