Knew we were going to be in Asheville Christmas eve. Called Bouchon and to our great pleasure, they were to be open. We have eaten here on many occasions in the past and their terminology "French Comfort Food" says it best. Michel has built a superb kitchen staff over the years and the wait staff know the content of all... More

I was planning a visit to the city, and I love downtown Asheville. So I was looking for a place to try. Bouchon is definitely a place you must try!!! 3 days a week they have all you can eat mussels!! With 4 different choices of broths to try, and they are all fantastic! It comes with fresh seasoned fries,... More

This is the place if you love mussels. All you can eat Monday to Wednesday, served with your choce of five broths. AND, the best fries we have encountered this side of Provence. AND, the fries are served with the style of saude you get in France, not catsup. Everything else is great in this restaurant also - French onion... More

I was excited when a group chose this restaurant. I had been to Thomas Kellers Napa Restaurant before. I expected similar food. Well the cream of mushroom soup had No taste. The green salad with goat cheese was good. The bread was excellent served hot with butter. The Scottish Salmon served on lentils was served very rare. My friend sent... More

Bouchon is a popular restaurant in downtown Asheville. It's a very small restaurant but is very busy. However, it still felt like a fine dining restaurant. That being said, chances are, you will have to wait. The only downside to this place is they don't take reservations. The flavors and presentations of the food were wonderful! The night we went,... We were told we'd have to wait 45 mins-1 hour, it was a Friday night so expected. But the hostess let us know about the Bouchon Creperie next door which was much less crowded where we could get drinks and some apps. We went to the Creperie, got drinks, then 10 mins later a table was available for us at... More

A group or 7 'self proclaimed foodies' ate, drank and were merry - from appitizerers, to salads, soups, enters & dessert - greAt food, attentive and personable service, with good recommendations! We had to wait for a table but it was worth it !

We heard high praise before going and while it was a very pleasant evening at a table next to the bar we were somewhat disappointed in the food. My wife and I both rated the food good to very good. She had a salmon with mussels which she said was well prepared but did not have much flavor. I had... More

We really enjoyed this small restaurant last year. This year did not think the food was quite as good as some of the others we dined at. Especially for the price.
