Great Food Great Time

We met there at 5 pm when they opened, and chose outdoor seating. Salads were good and plentiful. Service was excellent. Main courses of mussels, Beef Bourgignon and lamb all fantastic. Only bad thing is when we left and came through the inside if the restaurant, it was quite crowded and noisy.

We sat in the little alley and it was lovely and easy to talk. Fun paintings adorn the wall and there are nice lights hanging above. Felt like we were in France! Server and other wait staff who helped us were all very charming and everything was served promptly. Can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings.... More

Went for all you can eat mussels. Not bad given the price, but because of the volume you can tell mussels are not cooked the way they should be. They are pretty much microwaved and served. Wine special not too bad, and servers are efficient.

After reading the great reviews for Bouchon, we stopped in for dinner. The waitress seemed upset when we decided not to order all of our food at the outset and instead decided to get an appetizer or two while we mulled it over. The Salade de Betteraves au Chèvre was good and exactly as described. The Crabe Bisque en Croûte... More

From the service to the food a wonderful dining experience. Everything was fresh tasting with a bounty of flavors and The pomme frites a must. Arrive early if no reservation.

By far one of the best French restaurants in this area of the country. Had lunch with friends and was totally blown away.

It is always a pleasure to chat with proprietor/chef Michel Baudouin, who usually makes it a point to converse with most of his customers before, after or even during one of the excellent meals served by his well-trained and attentive staff at his restaurant in downtown Asheville, NC. While my wife basically swooned over the delicious and creamy crab bisque,... More

The food was spot on! From the appetizers of French cheese to the escargot. I had the lamb that was cooked perfectly. The combination of vegetables we delicious. My Mom had the Steak au Poivre which was super tender. Our favorite part was the pomme frites or French fries. They are fried in duck fat and perfectly seasoned. LOVE THEM!!!

We had a nice meal here - PAte plate followed by a STeak Au Poivre and their lamb dish. All were very good. But the staff were the grumpiest we met in Asheville - including the bar staff. They served promptly but no smiles or niceties. Would recommend eating in their courtyard. We ate inside and it was bit warm... More

We went to Bouchon and had such a wonderful meal, waitress and overall experience!! What a fun place for two or a group. The prices are so reasonable and the quality was exceptional.
