Excellent Casual French Food

We love Bouchon. Our first tip would be to go (for dinner) before 6pm...after that you will most certainly wait for a table (and they don't take reservations). On a whim we chose Bouchon for our 33rd Anniversary for Dinner. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day in Asheville on the 3rd and sit in the Courtyard. The Lobster Ravioli appetizer was superb. The Cordon Bleu and the Quiche were also excellent. Service was respectable and we look forward to another visit.

we spent a long weekend getaway in Asheville and LOVED our dinner at Bouchon. We started off with a glass of wine and charcuterie at the bar while waiting for our table which was excellent. For dinner we had a chicken cordon blue and a lamb pasta. Both were amazing. The chicken especially was to die for. Highly recommend. Great... More

We enjoyed our dinner on a Friday night. No reservations taken and wait was about 20 minutes. We sat outside in the beautiful courtyard. Service was excellent with good suggestions. No mussels that night as they were out. Steak with pomme frites, onion soup, coquille St Jacques, Trout Almondine, beet sald with goat cheese, chocolate crepe with ice cream for... More

This was our second visit to Bouchon, my wife and I could not get enough! From their house made pate, to beautiful lamb specials, to the steak au povoire it could not be tastier than this here. The flavors, atmosphere, and staff make this the total package. You cannot visit Asheville without eating here!

Well, my husband and I were on a short trip in NC. I fell upon this french restaurant by pure luck really, there are so many restaurants downtown Asheville, I was just browsing and found Bouchon. First of, service was amazing, we called ahead since we had our dog with us and they set us up on a private table/patio... More

After a recommendation from friends who live in the area, my family chose to dine at Bouchon. The food was incredible and ample, the wine choices made for a lovely accompaniment, and the service was impeccable. For some reason, my family tends to appear to be invisible in restaurants. We were not invisible here, rather, more like esteemed guests. Our... More

I heard they had four different types of mussels and all you could eat on select nights. Too no fault of their own they were no mussels available so anything would had been a disappointment. But we had two nice entrees $65.00. That made me smile! Mussels next time for sure!

Michel, the owner, came to Asheville from France via Texas and his Bonjour Y'all is one of my favorite lines! This is always a must for grabbing some great food. I love trying a variety of dishes while my wife is stuck on the Steak Au Poivre every time, haha! It doesn't matter, I've always had a great meal at... More

I really have tried, but I just can't like this restaurant. It always seems hit or miss. After mediocre experiences in the past, I wanted to give them one more chance. My husband and I stopped by for dinner during the week when they weren't too busy. The restaurant is tiny, actually cramped, and they don't take reservations. So on... More
