Description: Marco's Pizzeria continues the family business started in 1933 of cooking unparalleled New York-style pizza in two locations in Asheville, North Carolina. Marco's Great Uncle Patsy started the family's first pizzeria when he expanded the offerings of his ice cream parlor to include the uniquely New York-Italian dish. Patsy's Pizzeria in Harlem originally used a coal-fired oven to create a crust that is thin and crisp on the outside. Today, the fourth generation of pizza-makers in Marco's family continues to use Patsy's recipe and methods to create a dish that is unlike anything else available outside New York.

We have had pizza a few times and it is consistently salty. The pie has great potential if this defect is corrected.

As a local native, I feel actually so blessed to have Marco's in this town. There are other places to get a decent pizza, but none compares to Marco's. This ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION: Marco's is the best-tasting pizza I've ever had. It's so good, you'll learn why it should be called Pie. It is a think crust with a juicy... More

This is no boxed-up pizza. Hands down, the best pizza my family's had in a long time. Perfect crust, tangy sauce, delicious toppings. We wouldn't think of visiting Asheville without stopping here on our first night.

We are NJ transplants to the Asheville area and while we have not found the thick crust we are used to, Marco's is the best we have found. The crust is tasty and chewy, but still a little thin for our taste. Toppings available are diverse.

My wife and I ate here for the second time this weekend and it gets better each time. We drove an hour to get there because this place is so good. We had Robins pizza which has potatoes, onions and Gorgonzola cheese and we added bacon on the recommendation of our waitress. I know this is not a typical pizza... More

We had first gone to Marco's about 5 years ago and the pizza was good. With so many great pizza places in town it just got lumped in with the others. We recently went back and loved it. The restaurant has a nice feel and the pizza was great! When we think traditional pizza, we now think Marcos.

Got the greek and it was wonderful. my daughter got the stramboli and it was good too. Liked the individual size. Had enough to take back some to the room for a late night snack.

We've just moved nearby and this will now be a favorite neighborhood spot for a casual meal in comfortable surroundings. Our meals were good, fairly priced and the service excellent. The server was friendly and welcoming and the owner took the time, on a busy evening, to chat with us for a few minutes. We'll definitely return often!

The pizza here is always great, thin, tasty crust and fresh toppings. A favorite is the Greek pizza but enjoy any of the toppings. Have not had any of their pasta but based on the pizza I would say it is all good.

Good food, fast service, menu is packed with choices with wine and beer. Pizza is NY style and sandwiches are tasty.
