We stopped by here after having some great chocolate across the street. I was hoping for a good cup of coffee and a nice place to read. The atmosphere was acceptable. There were some louder patrons but expected with a cafe/bookstore. However the coffee was lacking. Add to that the centipede that dropped down on my wife and we walked... More

I love the local flair and feel of the bookstore. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than larger bookstores.

This is a must go to place for me when in Asheville. After selecting and purchasing a book I grabbed a cup of house light roast coffee. I sat in the comfortable seating area and enjoyed the coffee and people watched for a while. I'm easily distracted so I saved the book for later but many others were reading.

Had a couples of mugs of Joe at this bookstore that is a nice relic of the past. The Joe was good and the place a treasure for the eyes. This display of books is really inviting.

We had stepped in here so we could get some caffeine in our system, and I absolutely fell in love with the place. I had their vanilla and honey soy latte (I think it was called wolf in sheep's clothing), which tasted wonderful. Unfortunately, I discovered I am allergic to large amounts of soy and had to throw the drink... More

This is every book-lovers idea of how a book shop should be. From the interesting arrangements of books to the family friendly children section, from the excellent coffee shop to drink your coffee and read your book to the excellent assistants. It may be raining, snowing or windy outside but inside this lovely bookshop its always summer

Great local vibe, fun gifts, yummy coffee! My daughter made me stop there before we left to get some coffee for the road.

Always a fan of the independent bookstore, I could have spent hours here (only traveling through town with limited time). Books galore, artfully displayed with the "Staff Recommendations" I always appreciate. Other items for sale were interesting, quirky, useful, artsy....could have spent a fortune. Will make sure to allow more time next time we're in the area.

In the era of giant chain booksellers it's always nice to find an independent bookstore and this one is a winner. It's extremely well-stocked and has a café. My favorite part is the handwritten recommendations by the employees.
