Our group of five had lunch at Salsas and all enjoyed it. A couple of us had burritos -- the biggest I've ever seen. All the dishes were huge, and beautifully presented with heaps of healthy ingredients. My daughter declared her burrito, the best she'd ever eaten. The restaurant itself is small and cramped; when we arrived it was noisy... More

Salsa's is now 20 years old and an Asheville tradition. There's a good reason -- Hector Diaz does a dazzling job of taking Latin food to the next level. One of us ordered a veggie enchilada which might sound pretty standard, but it was extraordinarily different. Vegetables (including some you wouldn't expect, like sweet potatoes) were heaped atop a tortilla,... More

We came by around 6 p.m. on a Saturday and got a table immediately. We went straight to the entree, but other diners near us were starting with an order of chips and salsa. We got the salmon and shrimp molcajete and the Puerto Rican pork Pom-Pom-Pom. Both dishes are served in unusual dinnerware--a lava bowl and a wooden bowl--which... More

My family and I ate at Salsa for the 1st time and everybody loved their food. My husband and I are vegetarians and the food was flavorful and healthy. I would definitely go back again.

My wife was here a few months earlier and demanded that we go. The daily specials are based on what fresh ingredients are available that day. We started with the 3 salsa plate and selected tomatillo, guacamole, and watermelon salsas. All were great, but watermelon was my favorite. We shared an entree, which was had tilapia, mushrooms, grilled peppers in... More

We stumbled upon this place while checking out other recommended restaurants in the area. The menu is extremely diverse. The service was fast and friendly, complete with recommendations and favorites. Excellent food. Prepared fast and fresh to order. Large portions. One of the best meals we had during our 3 day stay in Asheville.

We always stop here for a great lunch or early dinner. Good food, always fresh, and great drinks made from fresh juices.

We loved our meals at Salsa's. The service was excellent and very quick. We stayed in the area 2 nights and went to Salsa's for both dinners. Highly recommended!

Well, I just read the review about the waiter (who is also the manager!) at Salsa taking a swig from a bottle and then making a cocktail from it. If I had read that before, I probably wouldn't have eaten there, as I am germaphobic (if that's a real word). But actually, who knows what goes on in kitchens that... More
