This restaurant will definitely serve up something different and interesting. We ate here for both dinner one night and then brunch the next day. Reservations are highly recommended. We made reservations for dinner the day of and couldn't get in until 8:45 pm. The menu is very interesting. I enjoyed a vegan dish of curried cauliflower with black quinoa and... More

The Market Place is not the usual "Let's go grab a bite 'cause it's easier than cooking" restaurant. It's geared to foodies who appreciate an inventive, locally-sourced menu with meals that are carefully prepared and beautifully plated. Our server, Andrea, was the perfect mix of friendly and helpful without being intrusive. She definitely added to our enjoyment of the evening.... More

I ordered the beef striploin steak with truffle and herb fries and house made thyme ketchup. The steak was tended and cooked to a medium rare, as requested. I loved the flavor of the fries, and the ketchup was a special touch.

Located in downtown Asheville, this place served up one of the best meals we had in town. We initially looked at the menu online as we had our children and wanted to make sure there was something they would enjoy. Asheville is well served by great restaurants, but sometimes kids just want a simple meal. My children enjoy good food,... More

We loved this place, located in the old downtown area. Very avante garde, warehouse type place, but quiet. Limited menu, but were were both craving steak and salad, which was excellent. My only complaint is that the fried potatoes were really, really salty. In my past life, pre-hypertension, I'd have said, YUM, but I can't do that kind of salt... More

The best meal that we had in Asheville. Ordered the cheese tray appetizer and the truffle fries. Both were spectacular, the only downside was that we ate them too quickly. From there each of our entrees were perfect, portions were perfect so you didn't leave feeling stuffed. Service was what you would expect from a fine dining establishment!

Trendy farm to table restaurant in downtown Asheville. We sat upstairs and the service was excellent. We had a very nice carbonara for an appetizer. The quail was very good. The hand cut pappardelle was nice with the braised lamb but a little too much pasta.

Our group of seven visiting from out of town, all very much enjoyed Sunday brunch. Everyone ordered something different along with an order of the banana bread french toast for the table to share. All the dishes were well prepared with generous portion sizes. The eggs benton, spinach omlete and jalapeno biscuits were favorites of the group. The service was... More

The food was presented well. It was very tasty. But do not go Hungry. Small portions, the men complained stating it was expensive and they were still hungry. Unless you just want a small appetizer and drinks, not a place to frequent.

We had been wanting to try the Market Place for a while. So we found ourselves downtown on Sunday evening and decided the time was right. We did not have a reservation but we were seated moments after walking through the door. The food was wonderful. We started out with a Charcuterie plate with 3 different meats and pork bellies,...
