First make reservations and ask for Denise, she's fabulous and has visited the farms that supply this restaurant's food. The food is fabulous, the Mac and Cheese is out of this world. They have small plates as well as big plates so you can't go wrong. The food is like a feast in your mouth! Go you won't be disappointed!

My friend and I were not that hungry, so we ordered two small plates. They were so yummy. After the wonderful small plate introduction, we decided to dive all in. However, the large plates were just ok. I would definitely go back, but I would not order the Lamb or ravioli again. The staff was fantastic. Overall, a great experience.

Great atmosphere, food, and service. The food is on the pricier side but it was certainly worth it. We shared two soups. A mussels small plate, and a quail which they brought in two separate dishes -very considerate-.

Overall it was a great experience. The good was excellent and abundant. The service was top notch. We had our whole family out and tried a number of different small plates and entrees and everything was exceptional. Would go again.

Once again, we have found another jewel in all of the Asheville restaurants! We had made a reservation for a different restaurant and decided to stay in the downtown area, versus the River Arts District, for dinner. I canceled my Open Table reservation there, and proceeded to make my reservation for The Market Place. At 7:55pm, we arrived for our... More

We found this excellent restaurant on romanticasheville.com and were not disappointed. Our first trip was a table for two. The menu is divided into small and large plates-great if just two diners want to try several entrees. The pork shoulder was fantastic and we loved the PEI mussels. Order extra bread to drink up all the "soup" with the mussels.... More

We were visiting Asheville this past weekend and did not have dinner plans for Saturday night. Our day ran long and started looking at restaurants in the downtown area. Well place after place was booked for hours and we found the Marketplace on opentable and they got us a table right away even though they were packed! I had a... More

We had the best burgers ever! The tomato jam was sensational. I even dipped my potatoes in this wonderful spread. Our waiter was superb. The price was reasonable and the location is easy to find. Nice atmosphere too! Check out this great place!

This was recommended to us by our hotel and it was really good. Fresh food, good selection. We had fish and quail and they both were excellent. Service was good and they were having a 1/2 price wine by the glass special - so that made it even better. Inside the restaurant is much better than it looks like from... More
