Awesome food!

We swung in here when the spot we were going to happened to be closed but we were not disappointed!!! We had the steamed pork dumplings first and they were tasty!!! I'm a huge curry anything fan so ordered the Singapore noodle bowl- it was delicious! It's not a very saucy dish- more of a dry/fried... read more

Eat there on a regular basis, no surprises, always fresh and tasty, usually a line, but moves fast. Big with us locals, good for families, won't break the bank. Nice friendly staff, fast service. Usually have food to take home. Try the cold Saki, don't drink and drive.

The four of us had dim sum, noodles and soups, and it was very good; busy as usual but the wait of 15 minutes during lunch hour was fine. Definitely will go back. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We've been to Doc Chey's so many times over the past years and have enjoyed the cabbage rolls, green beans and spring rolls MANY times. With so many new places opening in Asheville, we just hadn't gotten around to going again until recently. We recently visited on a Tuesday for lunch. it was the Tuesday between Christmas and Thanksgiving so... More

Recently I dined here with friends. The rhythm of the restaurant is completely off ... from the greeter to the server, from kitchen timing to food preparation. The entrance, which also serves as a waiting area, is narrow with guests experiencing uncomfortable closeness. Restaurant rhythm is key yet it seems that whatever happened in the kitchen was undercut by the... More

This is a busy restaurant in downtown Asheville. You wait in line to place your order and then seat yourself, but servers take it from there. They bring your food, offer assistance, and clear the table. The food is really good and is Asian with a twist. I would definitely not call it a Chinese restaurant. The noodle bowl servings... More

Despite some of the other great reviews, our first experience at the restaurant was less than stellar. We asked what the two most popular noodle dishes were, and the waitress told us "Chinese Lomein" and "Singapore." Neither of them was very good -- both were dry and not very tasty. The dishes, ordered with crispy tofu, were skimpy on the... More

My daughter and I were in Asheville for the weekend and stumbled upon DOC Chey's Noodles. Were seated at peak time on a Friday evening within 20 minutes at the bar. Everyone was super nice - super knowledgeable - and super accommodating. Thai Basil Chili Salad and Korean Rice Bowl charmed us! Since we sat at the kitchen bar, we... More

We love going to DOC Chey's in Asheville; the only down side is that everyone else does too so there is usually a pretty long wait. We have tried a few different entrees but our most favorite thing to do is order all appetizers (lettuce wraps, spring rolls, etc etc....they are all amazing). Lots of food and prices are low... Glad I decided to drop-in and order take-out! This is not your typical Chinese restaurant. Keeping with the feel of the local vibe, this is an upscale busy place. I had a late lunch (4ish) and tables were filling up at that time. I had the Chinese Chicken Soup, which was served in an over-sized container and came with won-tons.... More
