A little crowded dining area but the food is very good and is reasonably priced. We also ate there a couple of years ago and its just the same. All four members of our party enjoyed their entree. There was a wait both times we dined there but its worthwhile. more

We decided to eat here after reading the reviews and talking with a local. We were not disappointed. The food was plentiful and extremely tasty. My wife and friend had the beef, chili and orange special and said it was superb. I had a menu noodle dish and this was great. I would recommend they add a couple of more... more

Loved the food here, from the peanut butter noodles to the black bean sauce with tofu, we tried to go there as often as we could on our trip. We tried the noodle place and the bistro1892? down the street, but it was just not up to par after eating at Doc Chey. Even the iced coffee and the Chinese... more

Hot, fresh, and healthy ... all you need to know about Doc Chey's. This is an Asheville favorite. You choose your starch (rice, noodles) and decide which meat you'd like and which sauce. I trylu feel healthy after I've eaten here. Prices are great which is why it's always so busy. Try to go at an off-time so you won't... more

We visited this restaurant on our first day of our trip to Asheville and it was a wonderful introduction to Asheville's restaurants. The clientele was a diverse group, a hippie couple at one table and next to them sat a couple who looked like they’d just come from the golf course - a perfect example of the town's charm. We... more

The service was Great. Our waitress new the food menu as well as the wine menu quite well. For appetizers we ordered the Thai coconut soup which was to die for, the Thai shrimp rolls, which I would not recommend, greasy and not very flavorful. For our main courses we had the vegetarian Pad Thai - excellent and a large... more

In the interest of full disclosure, we ended up at Doc Cheys because the Noodle Shop up the street was closed for repairs. But, I had always wanted to try Doc Cheys so it wasn't like I was dragged in kicking and screaming. SERVICE The SERVICE was FANTASTIC from start to finish. The greeter and the waitress were both polite,... more

Doc Chey's is a fantastic, reasonably priced spot in downtown. While you will probably have to wait for a table, the food is always well prepared and the service is great. more
