we had spring rolls and peanut noodles off the appetizer menu, plus 2 noodle dishes from the entrees. it was all delish and it was way more than the two of us could eat. one negative - as with many asheville restaurants, the beer selection didn't include basic American beers, which is what we like. otherwise, we had no complaints... I don't generally like asian cuisine, but this place was okay. Huge helping of food. I do highly recommend the iced chai tea. It was wonderful!

We stopped for a late lunch today. I got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was a large portion and delicious. I ate about half and am taking the rest home for dinner. My wife had the chow mien and it was equally large and delicious.

Okay being Southern Asian descent, eating at many Thai/Viet restaurants and cooking similar things at home I will say my husband and I will be a little hard to please. We order steam dumplings, pad Thai and the Thai coconut soup. I enjoyed both noodle dishes. The restaurant did pretty well with the flavors and give a generous amount. The... More

Absolutely outstanding food & value. My wide & I are stuck on the Chicken Pad Thai for entry (about $7) but seem to order a different, and always outstanding, appetizer (about $4). This very customer friendly eatery will fix your Pad Thai at any heat level you desire. All the appetizers are out of this world delish-try the Chinese green... More

This was our second time here and again it was excellent. I had one of the noodle bowls with shrimp. Good food and big portion for about $12. Try to get here on the early side to avoid a wait.

Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, this is a nice place with a good selection of noodle fare at prices that are not going to break your bank. We like the local trout which can be ordered in any number of dishes,

Love Doc Chey's and can always count on getting a great meal and feeling satisfied. Only drawback is that sometimes the wait is too long…I think everyone knows how good it is. Yummy.
