Loved this place! Definitely worth the long wait. Affordable prices, great service, and fantastic foods. Miso soup was nice and warm. My Singapore noodles with tempeh were awesome. Dad loved the Thai chicken fried rice, and Mom enjoyed her spicy Thai basil noodles. Their portions are also very generous. Great local beer choices as well.

I'm a local and Doc Chey is one of my favorite eats in Asheville! I always order the Pad Thai. Yes, it's a dish you can get anywhere, but Doc Chey's Pad Thai is exemplary.

I didn't really like my fried rice with vegetables. There was something really wrong with that dish. However the noodles were good. The spring rolls were way too greasy. I would give this restaurant two stars but the service, politeness, knowledge of menu of my waitress were quite good. Therefore I raised it from two to three stars. I will... More

My wife and I stopped into this restaurant late one evening while we were strolling downtown Asheville. Have been here before and liked the food. Soup or noodle dishes are very good. Recommend!!!

Where I currently live is a bit rural, but I am accustomed to a wide cultural variety of food. My first night in Asheville, I needed some asian noodles. The portions are large (we got some to take home) and a good variety of flavors and options! It's definitely American asian noodles, but still good. We saw the dumplings and... More

There is a substantial wait here for good reason. The pasta is fresh and delicious. The menu has a nice variety of dishes. Enjoy.

My husband and I went for dinner while on vacation recently. The restaurant is very tight but not uncomfortable. We found the portions to be very large and ate our leftovers as another dinner entirely. The servers were all pleasant and looked to actually enjoy their jobs.

It's a small storefront that is deceptive - looks like it might be a hole-in-the-wall, but instead s nicely decorated and well organized to get the most people in a small area without feeling crowded. Quite a juggling act. Biggest problem was what to order - the menu has a lot of options, because you can essentially choose the protein... More
