Excellent breakfast

I highly recommend Early Girl Eatery. When we arrived the place was just opening and there was a line to get in. At first we thought we were going to have to wait or go somewhere else, but they have more room then it looks. The service was quick and very friendly. The food was excellent. So many... read more

If you are looking for a good place for breakfast, look no more. Great main items, great sides, good local jams, jellies & honey.

Went here for breakfast before a day of beer tastings and we all enjoyed it! Interestingly decorated with a very friendly staff. Hipster place, but not too hipster. Food was delicious, eggs, omelets, pancakes the house jam in the squeeze bottle was very good too! Overall I would recommend this spot to anyone. BTW - you will have to wait to... More

You can't go wrong choosing this cafe for breakfast, unless you show up late. It's not unusual to see a line for this downtown Asheville cafe. One of my personal favorites for breakfast when I visit Asheville. I have never had a bad meal, and everyone I take with me, always enjoys it.

Yummy! Very good breakfast establishment. They have an eye here for cooking there eggs perfectly. I ordered their omelette with a biscuit. Both were delicious, especially that biscuit which I could have eaten a dozen of if they would have served them to me. Their jams are a great compliment and are worth going there just for that alone. Service... More

This one was recommended to us by a local! I loved the atmosphere and the local color but the wait was lengthy for less than great service and a pretty ordinary breakfast. We will try somewhere else next trip..

Loved everything about Early Girl, this is always a must on our visits to Asheville. We had breakfast this time, and as with every visit we have had there, it did not disappoint. I had the Early Girl Benny, which is a grit cake that is out of this world, it's crispy on the outside like cornbread! It is topped... More

Always a line to get in, but it's worth the wait. Every time we've been there, they are always bringing in fresh veggies and fruits by the truckload. The food tastes so fresh and is very well prepared. The wait staff is attentive and there's plenty of free coffee while you're waiting in line. I understand they take reservations for... More

Wonderful food here--the biscuits are amazing, the orange juice is fresh, the coffee is perfect, and the made-in-house granola cereal is delicious. Had excellent service--even though the restaurant was very busy. This is a very popular Asheville destination, and one can see why!

It isn't easy being Gluten Free -- Early Girl helps, every way they can. The menu clearly indicates which items are, or can be made to be, Gluten Free, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and the croutons on the salad are grits!!! That's right -- grits. They cool a pan of cooked-just-right grits, cut them into cubes and fry... More
