The wait is way too long, in the summer the place is burning up no AC inside. The food was under cooked so i got running scrambled eggs. Lots of people in Asheville love this place i don't get the appeal.

This is one of Asheville's finest down home cooking spots. The menu was very strong with lots of excellent comfort foods. My wife ordered from the daily special menu and I had the eggs Benedict over fried grits. Both of us loved our meals and staff was friendly engaging. Both my wife and I would come here every day if... More

We knew the Early Girl would be very popular, but we did not expect to wait 45 minutes for a table. Fortunately, the restaurant is surrounded by wonderful local Asheville stores, so we were ok with the wait. Once we got a table, the food was flat -out fantastic. My daughter, who is not known for her appetite had the... More

Do not be scared by the long line! 1. wait times are always a guesstimate. We got lucky and were told 50 minutes but it only took 25 because people left. thanks guys! 2. Coffee is provided! Come on... who doesn't love coffee while they wait!? 3. Its seriously awesome, unique incredible, to die for food! Whatever creamy shitake bacon... More

Lots of interesting twists on breakfast staples like omelettes and skillets. It's a fun place to start the day. We will certainly return!

This place wouldn't accommodate a simple and reasonable substitution for one of the side items in my meal (I asked if I could have anything other than potatoes or grits, they said no, not even some fruit.) Eggs and biscuits were good, vegan sausage was a little weird, potatoes were overdone (almost charred.) Pricey for what you get. I wouldn't... More

My wife and I were in Asheville last weekend and wanted some place for breakfast we could walk to while staying downtown. We found the Early Girl and glad we did. Good food, good service and reasonably priced. I would recommend.

A saturday lunch time meant a long wait, but the food was great. I enjoyed a good southern breakfast minus the meat (biscuits, eggs, grits). My companions had the hummus and a quiche, which were also good. Friendly service.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Very fresh, mostly local food and an interesting menu. Worth the wait. Service is always excellent.
