I love wandering around until you find a place to eat. That's how we came across Wasabi. We stopped by for lunch and had a wonderful experience. This quiet restaurant accommodated our party of four very comfortably. The service was fast. Each one of us had a "Lunch Box", which includes sushi, another protein, and soup or salad. I loved... Had a great meal there on Sunday evening. The wait staff was friendly and made great suggestions regarding various menu items. Had sashimi and rolls. Everything super fresh. Can't wait to return

A recent visit to Wasabi for lunch confirmed my view that it is by far the best sushi restaurant on Asheville. Since we had been there just a few weeks previously, the waitress (Santie) even remembered us which is a positive surprise since we don't live in Asheville and are not "regulars". Anyway, there is an a la carte sushi... More

My wife and I continue to go back to Wasabi when we want sushi. The downtown location sometimes has its parking challenges, but it's worth the effort. They always have fresh, succulent sushi and the most awesome presentation!

I was looking for a great sushi restaurant and though I'd try out Wasabi. It was very crowded for starters. They used way too much sauce on their specialty rolls. There wasn't a lot of good flavor. It was an average place but in no way a great place to eat dinner. If you're visiting Asheville, don't waste your time.... More

Looking for best Asian food in Asheville - you don't have to go further that Wasabi Japanese restaurant. Absolutely a wonderful lunch or dinner. It's the real thing especially their sushi and various sushi rolls. We loved it.

Sushi had a lot to be desired. Very bland. I've had better sushi elsewhere. I must say that I received the most tasteless sushi I've ever had at Wasabi. Service was somewhat slow as well.

We had a great meal of sushi, tempura and beef takai for a very reasonable bill. We are not your adventurous sushi diners but the tuna and salmon pieces were large and favorable. The tempura was light and the beef spicy. The service was friendly and wonderful. My husband thought it was funny to hear 'yal enjoy now' in a... More

I went to Wasabi by recommendation from my b & b host. And it was fantastic!!!! I am picky about my sushi and the quality of my sushi there was supurb. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're looking for sushi. The atmosphere is loud, busy, and crowded. Not romantic but definitely fun! Would go there all the time if... More

My husband and I stopped in here for a couple of sushi rolls and we were NOT disappointed. The hostesses were nice. Our waitress was super friendly and answered any questions we had without making us feel dumb. Haha. We ordered the perfect match roll and the spicy crab salad roll. The perfect match was the best sushi roll I... More
