Loretta's has been in Asheville for God knows how many years, and it's because they're consistently great. Come with an appetite ... the sandwiches are the size of small countries, and the soups will keep you full all day long. Loretta's has GREAT sandwiches with wonderful thick, homemade breads. It's only open for lunch and is always hustling. A local's favorite. Egg salad is just tremendous! more

Good food for price. Place is small with two seater tables. You can see everything going on in the "kitchen" area. I would eat there again. more

My husband and I ate here on the way out of town today. The sandwiches were delicious as was the chicken gumbo. If you are ever in town and want a fresh, delicious sandwich then you should try Lorettas. more

Great place to get a really fresh sandwich. Lots of vegetarian selctions (the cashew/olive is a darn good sandwich) and the best tuna melts & reubens. I found owner to be very freindly, as well as the rest of the staff. A real "locals" place to eat. more

Love love love Loretta's food. Great sandwich shop! The chicken salad is the best i've had. Don't be scared of the staff (very "organic") and the owner herself is not the most friendly but the food makes up for it. Highly recommend. more
