came here because Tupelo Honey cafe was packed on a 2 hr wait, we got our food super fast but they did forget our sides and tea, in their defense they were short staffed but the place wasn't the cleanest, carpets need shampooing, etc

We enjoyed our dinner since we really love Middle Eastern food and everything we had was pretty tasty (Falafels were AWESOME!), although we were surprised at the steep prices. We did like the fact that we were able to order "smaller" portions and the prices came down somewhat with that, but really, the ingredients in this type of food are... More

My parents and I visited my brother who was studying in Asheville for the summer and we were in the mood for some Mediterranean food. Jesualem was FANTASTIC! The waitress was knowledgeable of the daily and house specialties, friendly and truly made us as comfortable and happy as possible! Everything from our salads to entrees to our grand finale of... Food was great (I've had middle eastern food as good, but not in that large a portion), wine was relatively cheap, but the thing that blew me away was the atmosphere. On Fridays they have live music (great act) and a belly dancer. It was a real neat experience, even though I was turned away from where the dancer was... More

Jerusalem Garden is a Mediterranean paradise in the middle of downtown Asheville. Everything is wonderful! Every day there's a special, and they're always made from the freshest meats and vegetables. Ask for a table in the back, which is draped in fabric to look like a Moroccan tent. Parking is tough (street only) but worth it. And if you go... More

We stumbled onto this cafe late in the evening so we can't comment to much on the atmosphere - the musicians and belly-dancer finished just as we got there (we didn't mind too much because it seemed very loud when we came in). The food was really excellent! We had some Hummous for starters - really good and authentic. For... More

Food was excellent...flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth scallops and tender, juicy steaks. Atmosphere provided a unique, charming setting and it was a pleasure to meet the owner.

We had an enjoyable dinner experience at the Jerusalem Garden Cafe. The food was good, but nothing to write home about, especially for the price. However, what we really enjoyed was the live music, belly dancing, and overall atmosphere.

How can you describe your first visit to the Jerusalem Garden? I was pleasantly surprised and love going back any time I get a chance. The servers are very friendly and the chefs are skilled. Get a falafel sandwich for lunch - pretty cheap and really tasty (you'll not find one any better in all of Jerusalem).... you can't go... More
