My Grandson Loved It!

My grandson chose this restaurant because he is a vegetarian and he loves Middle Eastern food. He ordered the Falafel and said it was excellent. I am basing my review of the food entirely on him because I did not eat thou I did like the atmosphere and thought the service was very good.

Romantic dinner before a show at Thomas Wolfe - this was the perfect choice! Our waitstaff Kellam was wonderful from start to finish , our food was amazing- beautiful presentation and deeelicious! Music was relaxing and the dessert was one of a kind- sesame rolls filled with a sweet cheese and strawberries with whipped cream and Turkish coffee was the... More

This was a new experience for me. First the seating is different. The lighting is poor, but the experience was great. We ate with my son and his wife and has some great food. The humus was tasty, the grape leaves were very good. For the main course, we had lamb, chicken, and beef kabobs. They were tasty but the... More

If you like food with a flair, Jerusalem Garden is a great spot. This long-time Asheville restaurant serves up traditional Middle Eastern favorites as well as some unique takes on the cuisine. One of us had a special, which was mahi-mahi done with a just spicy enough sauce and served with excellent thinly sliced sauteed zucchini and summer squash. The... More

If you like a restaurant you do not feel rushed in, that has great flavors, check out Jerusalem Garden. I have walked by this location many times over the years but never gone inside which is a shame since it was great. Make sure you make room for the hummus!

My daughter and I love to go to this restaurant. We sit in the backroom on the floor. It's a great place to go and eat slow and have great conversations. The food is very good, the servers are always very nice and attentive. One time the manager (owner?) gave us a free dessert that I would never have ordered... More

Very pleasant friendly place where we went for lunch. Stuffed grape leaves were warm, tasty and certainly looked homemade. The veggie platter was simple but very well done. Hummus as good as I've had. Lamb sandwich delicious. Interestingly the server suggested we have it as a wrap not on the bun, as listed on the menu, which she said falls... More

I absolutely loved this little gem of a restaurant. Mediterranean food is my passion and this is the best I've ever had. The hummus was so creamy and wonderful. They had live music and even a belly dancer. I can't recommend this place enough.

I was here the first time I visited Asheville at least 10 years ago and always remembered the great falafel and hummus but forgot the name. I was on a mission to see if this place was still around and it has indeed survived the test of time! The falafel and hummus were as good as I remember (and I've... More

This is one of those great small places where the staff is very pleasant, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxing and the music is awesome! I enjoyed the restaurant with my wife and had shawarma like the Avengers! Local beers on tap and great mint tea left me comfortably satisfied. If you are in Asheville and want something... More
