Great surprise

I absolutely loved this little gem of a restaurant. Mediterranean food is my passion and this is the best I've ever had. The hummus was so creamy and wonderful. They had live music and even a belly dancer. I can't recommend this place enough.

I was here the first time I visited Asheville at least 10 years ago and always remembered the great falafel and hummus but forgot the name. I was on a mission to see if this place was still around and it has indeed survived the test of time! The falafel and hummus were as good as I remember (and I've... More

This is one of those great small places where the staff is very pleasant, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxing and the music is awesome! I enjoyed the restaurant with my wife and had shawarma like the Avengers! Local beers on tap and great mint tea left me comfortably satisfied. If you are in Asheville and want something... More

Granted, we came on a cold Saturday afternoon, but the back room was quiet. Our server did not rush us, giving my friend and I time to catch up. The fried Middle Eastern cheese was fabulous as was the tabouleh, hummus, eggplant moussaka,Turkish coffee, and coconut namura. It was all delicious.

Their lamb was cooked and spiced well and the salads were tasty. Yes $30-$50 overpriced, but it is hard to find anything that tastes like anything in Asheville. Service good Ambience Creative/crafty/Niche - kind of a desert harem tent feel inside

Cool rhythmic vibes lend to the laid back non- intrusive dinning atmosphere. The front of the building leaves you wondering. Stop, walk in, and feel the love. Just finished off four well prepared "stuff grape leafs." Perfectly seasoned and slightly warmed. Ordered from the small plates. "Pistachio Crusted Lamb Chops." Did I say they were perfectly cooked. Perfectly. Served with... More

i last ate here years ago and was unimpressed. Raleigh has a Middle-Eastern place that is to die for. I am happy to say that the food seems better now (based on my limited lunch today). Service was fine. It took a bit to get my meal, which was surprising since there were only a couple tables ahead of me.... More

My wife and I are Asheville natives but we hadn't yet tried Jerusalem Garden. Our first experience, over lunch, was a great . It was a late, mid-afternoon lunch on a cold January weekday and we had the place to ourselves. We sat in the back room at one of the traditional middle-eastern tables (sitting on cushions on the floor--though... More

We sat I the front of the restaurant with absolutely exquisite tables. The food was delicious. My husband enjoyed crepes that were very different than French crepes and fantastic in their own wrap. I had a kafta wrap and added pototaoes! Fabulous!

We stopped by a couple restaurants in the area and were told at least a 30 min wait. Looking across the street, we decided to try out the Jerusalem Garden Cafe. I had the vegetarian platter, priced at $10, it was a nice portion and tasted fresh. Two people in out party had the grass-fed burgers and said they were... More
