We didn't have time to do a brew tour, so going to a taproom is a good way to taste several different local beers. They had at least 20 on tap downstairs, and if you want to go upstairs, there are at least another 20 up there. Liked the pizza too. Great atmosphere was just what we like when on... More

This was a pleasant surprise. We had one of the better NY style pizzas I've had in a long time. Great selection of Asheville beers, good atmosphere to catch game on TV. I look forward to going back.

Nice place for lunch! This was a clean, friendly place for lunch. We all ordered pizza by the slice and it was delicious. Very reasonable prices and plenty of beer options for those who wished to have a glass or two with their food. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

There are numerous places with both better beer and food in Asheville. Don't be fooled by its tap selection or location. When we visited, both beers suffered from dirty lines. We ordered a pizza slice and a black bean hummus appetizer, both of which were truly disappointing in flavor and presentation.

We are staying in downtown Asheville for a week and went here for dinner our first night in town which was a Saturday. It was really busy, but we got seated right away since it was just the two of us. The wait staff seemed to be handling the crowd pretty well and food seemed to be coming out within... More

Hard to beat beer and pizza. Following a leisurely walk about the down town area of Asheviile we wanted something to eat and drink, there are any number of interesting eateries in this part of town and I suspect the combo helped us decide on Barley's. We were greeted and seated almost immediately, with a friendly pleasant waitress arriving almost... More

We had dinner at Barley's after a local artist recommended it. It was worth the visit. Great feel to restaurant, and the Pizza was very good. We had chili for appetizer, it had a little too many beans for my liking, but my wife liked it, flavor was good. Our pizza had pepperoni, sausage, green peppers and onions on it,... More

Service was really good, our server was great. Beer selection was pretty decent. We ordered an appetizer I think were called fiddle sticks or something like that which were kinda gross but we ate them only because we were starving. I think it was stale pizza crust or something shaped like french fries with some dipping sauce. We ordered an... More

Barley’s is my family’s go-to restaurant in Asheville; their pizzas and calzones are some of the best I’ve ever had. Conveniently located in the downtown scene, just up the street from the Orange Peel music venue, Barley’s has a lot of character – I believe it is even part of the Asheville ghost tours. They have billiards and foosball upstairs,... More
