Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.

Asheville's consistently GREAT restaurant

Repeat customer! I Always go here with friends and family. Very romantic setting, but food is the star. We choose small plates. Each person usually orders 3-4 plates each. Nothing has ever disappointed. (Think quail) If you love excellent food- spend the money and go here. It's beautiful every... read more

Recently moved to North Carolina so we are starting to check out new places. We tried here on a recommendation from friends. It wasn't bad. We started with a carafe of sangria. Entirely too much clove, cardamom, ginger. It tasted like Christmas. Not super appealing. We then started with the menu. Just know that when you sit down they hand... More

I have been to Zambra a number of times and they never fail to please. The tapas are interesting combinations and the specials are always a surprise. Take your time and order new things and share each one. Eat slowly... discuss the flavors... sip some wine... enjoy the soft and cozy atmosphere. This is a perfect place to go with... More

I have been to this restaurant before and I know the food and drinks and service are all good, but the other night we were with a group of people and we were going into the bar for drinks, apps, etc. We opened the door and the most toxic cleaning products hit us right in the face, smelled so strong,... We ate dinner at Zambra on a Monday night so it wasn't too busy. They offered a regular tapas menu and specials of the day which included some more exotic flavors such as chitlins, beef tongue, quail. We played it safe with a cheese tray, Greek Olives, grilled shrimp, fried tofu. All were tasty and the service was quick.

Went to dinner on the 26th of June; made reservations but it was not as busy as we expected for a Friday evening. This was my first time having tapas, and they did not disappoint. We were in town for our anniversary, and we were glad to eat at a restaurant that was geared more towards adults. we did not... More

I've been dining on this tapas bar since 5 years ago. The foods are fantastic. They always have different specials on their menu every night aside from their regular tapas menu. The ambience is really great and the people are nice. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. It's one of my top list.

We have dined here many times and found Zambra to have the best selection in town. In addition, the decor is interesting (especially the intimate alcoves; not your average restaurant setting!) the service was always good and reliable, while the bill is quite reasonable. We have tried several other tapas restaurants in Asheville and had never had a better experience... More

If you are in mood for tapas you will not be disappointed at Zambra. The food is high quality and the service is always fast and professional. Only problem is the the noise level, making it difficult at times to communicate.

We ate here on our recent visit to Asheville and the Biltmore. It is on a steep little street and parking was a bit of a challenge but it was well worth it. The food was great. Colorful, appetizing, unique are some good words to describe this place. Has a neat jazz trio performing. Lots of food choices - I... More
