Zambra is a great place to dine. In a city with such a variety of locally places, this one is in my top 5. An interesting selection of offerings that are all cooked to perfection in a charming atmosphere.

My honey and I chose Zambra based on a recommendation from some locals. It's a tapas style restaurant that did not disappoint! I started with asking the bar tender, Mark for a wine recommendation based on the flavor profile I described. He suggested their Las Lilias Vino Verde...delightful. Crisp with a little tartness and a bit of effervescence. We sat... More

Tried this on a recommendation. Just OK. First, the menu, while true to the small plates tradition of tapas, was very lite on traditional Spanish items. No octopus, for instance. That was a stumble right out of the gate. Bread was not complimentary either, which seemed nickel/dimey. On the positive side, the restaurant itself was very cozy and comfortable. And,... More

Very good food selection and everything we tried was tasty. The food is probably as good as curate but it is a lot cheaper. All a matter of personal opinion, but the restaurant felt like a basement so I was not very fond of the atmosphere. As other reviewers stated it feels like chic jazz bar. I just prefer light... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Asheville. Highly recommend you try while you're in town, as long as you like tapas places. Great selection of wines and kind of a jazzy club feel inside. Some locals will send you a more touristy route, but if you want a great way to try a bunch of different high end food. This... More

6 of us came to Zambra for a gastronomic experience and we got it. We had sashimi, lamb, duck, quail, pork cheeks, gnocchi, mushrooms and more. Wow! The wine and beer lists were great, too, and, Carin, our server, could not have been better. It's big, it's noisy but who cares when the food is so good?

Recently enjoyed an incredible dinner with my wife and sister in celebration of wife's birthday. I can't say enough good things about Zambra. From the staff to the food to the atmosphere. It all comes together for the best Tapas in Asheville.

Haven't been here in about 8 yrs and so glad we went twice this time. The special sheet lists about 20 items that are enticing. Our favorite was the pork cheek - ordered it twice. Beef heart was really delish, as was the cabbage salad with beets and feta. Sit at the bar and enjoy yourself. We were there earlyish... More

Love the atmosphere here. The food was fresh and wonderful. If you like tapas and not just the Spanish variety then you'll love this place. Highly recommend.

So glad we stumbled upon this fantastic place! We tried 6 different parts, all were superb. Wine choices were interesting, but paired well. Plus, they serve late! Would definitely return!
