Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.

GREAT for tapas and wine

We loved this place. We spent a couple of hours here just sitting at the bar having wine and tapas. The brussels sprout dish was wonderful...we actually ordered a second one! We will definitely go back!

On a Saturday night, Zambra was very busy and lively, but our reservations worked out well. That night, the two of us wanted a quieter table, and the hostess must have anticipated that, because she sat us in a small alcove with two other couples. PROS Excellently prepared small dishes Good wine and cocktail list and knowledgeable server Good pacing... More

I am a local, and have eaten here several times. The menu changes quite frequently, and it is fun to try several small plates versus one big entree'. The menu is very modern and inventive. It is a great restaurant for couples, but also has corner booths in the back fun for a friends night.

Conceptually a Spanish restaurant, the small plates could be thought of as tapas, and the wine list certainly featured good wines from Spain. The decor--Spanish cave solidified the concept. But the food was best--especially the crusty Brussels sprouts and sautéed gnocchi with butternut squash. Service was great, too, with good communication between servers.

This was a second visit and a much better experience. The food was exceptional and the service excellent. We had a quiet table for two tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the bar area. Lighting is low, so you may need to use your phone to read the menu...or better yet, ask the wait staff for recommendations. The... More

We returned to Zambra following a food tour where we were introduced to the Pork Spring Rolls. They were so delicious we had to return. Our return visit did not disappoint. We again ordered the Spring Rolls. Also tried the Shrimp & Grits. The Shrimp was especially well seasoned but the grits were too dry. Overall a good dish since... More

If you are looking for a culinary treat and a delicious dining experience, eat here. I'm a big fan of trying new foods and try to encourage our three kids to do the same. This restaurant was ideal for a dining adventure. We ate in the lounge (aka bar) but didn't care. It was still charming and the food was... More

Have visited Zambra several times and am never disappointed! Love the Sangria, empanadas and really anything I've ever ordered! Have been with friends for a girls night and a date night with my husband - great choice for both! Always recommend Zambra to friends and family!!

The food here is incredible! Ambiance is romantic with low lights and candles on every table. Tapas are small dishes, so we ended up ordering about 6 different dishes that my hubby and I shared. Our server was excellent, both efficient and attentive. Pricing is not cheap, but this restaurant is worth the money for a special occasion.
