We actually choice this restaurant soley by chance. Really close to our hotel. The food, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic. Thanks to Shennen for providing stellar service and great recommendations. Just have to plan my next trip around Zambra! more

Great service, amazing food, creative drinks, wonderful atmosphere, live music. I stuffed myself within an inch of my life and my only regret was that I could not make room for more! more

This place rocks!!! Zambra wine list by the glass is awesome. Anyone who has had tapas in Europe will agree that this is the closest to authentic you can get in the states!!! I haven't had tapas this incredible since my last trip to Europe 5 years ago and I have tried a lot of tapas across the US. The... more

Goodness, we just had another excellent dinner at Zambra's. We enjoy the atmosphere, too, although it was quiet early on a Tuesday (much more crowded as we left). The small plates aren't really tapas, but we've always put together a nice meal there. Last night, the green salad with pear and goat cheese was excellent, and the special offerings of... more

Shame on us - we believed the advertising of Zambra's. The tapas weren't really tapas in my opinion, more like small portions of a main course. And they just weren't that good. We really went, though, because we wanted an authentic paella. We should have gone to Spain, because I have no earthly idea what this version of 'paella' was... more

This was my 2nd (and then 3rd) dining at Zambra. It was a Saturday night, and we had fortunately made a reservation. We walked up and right in to out table. Although it was in the center of the room, since we were next to a support beam, it seemed to create a nice space that was not exposed. Our... more

We made dinner reservations online for 8:30pm Saturday night. After checking-in on-time, we could hear the two hostesses arguing because one had *just* given the couple in front of us (who had been waiting w/o reservation) our table. Nevertheless, they were able to seat us at a larger table in the back of the restaurant shortly. Unfortunately, that meant we... more

The first seven wines we selected they were out of. Order a variety of tapas which come out, as they should, in a stagger. Food not warm or particularly exciting. I know it was Sunday night but attention to all could have been better. I don't know if I would chance this again. more

Zambra is worth a visit. Who would ever expect a Moroccan-decorated, underground restaurant with belly dancers in Asheville? Great ambience, terrific bar with tons of seating, excellent drink menu with delicious cocktails. By all means have a drink here. However, the food? Skip it. They call their dishes "tapas" which is Ashevillian for "teeny plates of average food that you... more

I recently at here with a friend on a week night and for the second time was very disappointed. The first time I ate here was for a friend's birthday, where I was also disappointed with the service. If I am going to spend a decent amount of money on a nice dinner, I would expect more. When we sat... more
