Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.

The atmosphere itself is cool when you walk in. There's generally live music, depending on what night you come and the staff has always been on point. The food is amazing and it's the perfect environment for a couple glasses of wine or beers. I come here with friends and we always leave happy. Highly recommend.

Leisurely dinner here. Need to take your time. Everything we tried was delicious. Everything is served Tapas-style-small plates. We ordered 4 things. Fun to share and taste the different items. Great shrimp, scallops. Very interesting list of cocktails- I had one with gin, basil, elderberry liquor, and grapefruit juice. Great atmosphere- dark and romantic.

Nice experience....food was very good. Lots of interesting choices. Small but well-sized portions. Very nice atmosphere accented by it almost down-an-alley kind of European location and understated entrance. Only reason for 4 vs. 5 rating is although the service was good it wasn't great...with this said I'd return again...oh, and it would be a great spot to go just for... More

Went to Zambras for a light dinner after visiting earlier in the day on a food tour. They have an extensive offering of tapas; all of which looked delicious. We tried the catfish tacos and the pork cheeks both of which were extremely tasty! I just wished I wasn't so full from the food tour so I could try more.... More

Even tho the hostess was not overly welcoming, the food was on a Rainey day visit. Fun to try the different items. My coworker shared four plates.

We loved our cocktail and the fabulous gnocchi. The service was good and we liked the atmosphere. We will be back. On a pretty day they have a patio.

My wife and I last went to Zambra's many years ago and at that time was not impressed. We went back due to the encouragement of our friends and it was GREAT! My wife says as good as Curate, but I even enjoyed it more! I don't know about authenticity of their tapas, but our dinner at Zambra's was as... More

My wife and I shared 6 plates and desserts, all terrific. Even dishes I was reluctant to order---the flatbread with mushrooms—turned out wonderfully. They have one hell of a chef. Zambra serves tapas the right way, one at a time. We had a different server for each plate, but service was seamless. The restaurant is dark, some of it subterranean,... More

Always love to go here, especially before a production at NC Stage which is across the street. The tapas change nightly, although there is a regular set menu. Wine selection is good and I guess beer is too along with bar drinks.
