Large place open later for food

Was with a large group coming from a wedding reception on a Sunday night and went looking for a place in the Patton Ave area. The town was pretty dead on a Sunday night but we were able to quickly get a seat at this restaurant. The food was a pleasant surprise and the beer list was well stocked... read more

This is for puntards. It was a sticky boring sports bar with a boring menu. Like virtually every place in Asheville, though, you can get a good beer.

Nice restaurant with big open windows, so a few tables have an outdoorsy feeling without having to worry about rain. Husband and I shared the Chicken Dogwood sandwich and the sweet potato fries and both were awesome. Our friends split the Reuben and couldn't say enough about it. i tried a flight of four beers for $7 and enjoyed it.... More

Sorry for the average rating. After we were seated we set there for several minutes, my wife had as ask the hostess if someone was going to wait on us. We started off on the wrong foot but it got better. Our waitress was young and it may have been one of her first nights. They had a good selection... More

As everyone else has said there is very nice selection of draft beers and cider, and the list of bottle beers was also quite extensive. The food we had was really quite good, so maybe if you are an adventurous eater, you will enjoy a blackened wild boar burger with pineapple molasses chutney and bleu cheese. Or perhaps a pair... We stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night and were relieved to find no wait for a table. The food was average - nothing special, but it wasn't bad. Our server was attentive and friendly. We were impressed by the beer selection as well.

I know what people say - why did you go to a beer place for cocktails. I use to live in Asheville, moved away, and I took some Girlfriends and came back into town to bar hop. The wonderful waitress put up with our shananigans. We purposely sat away from everyone so not to disturb the bar. Amazing drinks -... More

Stayed out of town (thank goodness) and asked for a pub/brewery recommendation. This was one of two locations and I think we choose the wrong one. Downtown was over run with drunk, partying young folk that made every brewery that we saw really unattractive for us. Bier Garten was in a OK location, but had loud music blasting. It is... More

Bier Garden is a must for me when I visit Asheville. I have gone here for several years. The beer selection is obviously amazing, but the food is always great as well. I enjoy the atmosphere, especially on a nice day and they open the big windows in front. Love the bacon Gouda Mac and the Cuban sandwich. Never have... More

Came here with a friend on a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. It's a cross between a big pub and a restaurant, so my friend and I could comfortably spread our dinner out over a good evening, interspersing our courses with great, local beers. I could happily waste a good couple of days working my way through their beer menu.... More
