Great place for beer and burger

The atmosphere is what one would expect in a bier garden, open, lively and comfortable. The open window at the front allows you to enjoy a meal in a patio setting. The selection of beers, both local and national is quite good, and the food is tasty. It is crowded at popular times and the service... read more

good food, friendly staff; right in the heart of town, near the park, average cost; leisurely meal - did not feel rushed, we were able to sit & people watch

We ordered the eggplant sliders, side salad with cranberry vinegar rate dressing, and sweet potato fries. The sliders were light, which was what we were looking for - very fresh as well. The sweet potato fries were yummy! If you are a connoisseur of beer et al, then this is a place you should visit! Ask for a window seat... More

We ran into this by accident. It didn't jump out at us but we had just got into town and were starving. I ordered the cuban sandwich and it was the best cuban I have ever had in my life. My husband took a bite of it and loved it and wished he had gotten that. We had good service.... More

This place will not jump out at you (unless you are desperately looking for a sign that says "bier"), but this was my favorite place I stopped during my long weekend in the Carolinas. Unassuming place, unassuming crowd, great beer selection, patio seating, and a couple small business owners that deserve your patronage. Go here.

Loved the ambience - tasted a lot of beers. Large selection to choose from. Neat place to go on a rainy day in Asheville.

We bumped into this place by accident and it totally met our expectations. The service was outstanding, food was delicous. The had lots, lots of different beers, however, unfortunately, we couldn't try them out but would definitely go back. Big TV screens. It's exceptional, but casual at the same time. Totally a place to go on a (first) date. :)

Stopped in for a quick lunch while in Asheville. The Beer selection was huge. I had the Kobe burger which was delicious and cooked to order. My wife had the Ruben sandwich which she liked.

I got the Kobe burger and it was delicious, only I ordered it med-well and it was definitely more or a med-rare. ewww. I ate it anyway because I feared they would only take it and throw it back on the grill, not redo it all they way. They had a great well drink for 2.50 special. The cost to... More

In downtown Asheville we found this restaurant not far from the Arcade. All the restaurants around it were packed but this one was quiet. First thought was hmmm. Turned out that the service was good, food great, and decor very nice. Skip all those busy places and give this a try, Its more than beer and pretzels.
