An absolute must if you are one who enjoys the vegetarian menu. The prices are reasonable for the plated portions. Service was great. Somewhat earthy/ crunchy granola wait staff, tattoos and dreadlocks in a clean wholesome atmosphere. The food is spiced and flavored from scratch. Choose the tico burrito entrée ~ $12.99 you wont be disappointed. This dish is textured...

My cousin recommended Laughing Seed Cafe for lunch and I wasn't sure what to expect as I have eaten at vegetarian restaurants before and wasn't always real impressed with the food. That was not the case with the Laughing Seed Cafe. It was not crowded or noisy when we went on a weekday around one o'clock in the afternoon.

Went to The Laughing Seed this weekend based on a recommendation from a good friend. As a meat eater, I never quite know what to expect at a vegetarian restaurant but this one was loaded with good choices and the namesake salad was great. I'll go back if only for the beer!
Extensive vegetarian menu with many unusual entrees. Crowded and noisy. Good for the house - not so good for us. The server was helpful and knowledgeable. Some folks would love it.
We enjoyed a warm sunny day in Asheville and stopped by here for lunch. My wife is vegetarian and I'm mostly in that world too so were pleasantly surprised find so many choices in this town. The drinks were unusual and the food and service was excellent.
A rather long wait for the food but that wouldn't matter if it was worth waiting for... There were three of us and the Indian Thali plate seemed the top choice as it did get a rave. The carrot ginger soup was very good but overshadowed by horrible Indian pakoras - way too doughy and burned as well. Add in...

Had the Harmony Bowl tonight with the most amazing sesame ginger sauce. Wish we were closer to home so I could take some with me as they sell it but it needs refrigerating.
Was looking forward to a good vegan lunch in a really eclectic part of town and ready to be wowed. Sadly, although waitstaff was adequate and the food delicious, we wouldn't go a second time. The portions were paltry and thus overpriced, and the presentation essentially non-existent. Pass on the sampler plate; each item served up alone in a tiny...

I was a bit nervous to try Laughing Seed Cafe on my last trip to Asheville; however, I am glad I took the risk. The menu is all vegetarian, with many vegan or gluten-free choices, as well. It is creative and incredibly flavorful with even the most serious meat eaters could find someone at Laughing Seed. Definitely worth a visit...
