What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Wonderful for breakfast.

We just happened to stop here for breakfast and I am so glad we did. The coffee was quite good and the food was fabulous. After ordering, we were each brought a warm biscuit with their house-made blueberry jam. I loved the biscuit and I am not a biscuit fan! Hubby had the biscuits and gravy... read more

It takes a lot for my husband to go to any place that serves tofu however he agreed to Tupelos because their extensive menu. We arrived at 8:45 on a sunday evening and had to wait 45 minutes. Tupelos does not accept reservations however they do have a call ahead policy and I suggest you take advantage of it. The... More

These folks can poach eggs perfectly. Not everyone can. I very much enjoyed my breakfast but was disappointed in a meatloaf I had for dinner although it was good cold the next morning. The place had a nice vibe and a great location but dont expect a gourmet meal.

My wife and I went here on the recommendation of the clerk at the hotel we were staying while visiting Asheville . We were very happy with this choice. We went on a Monday night and only waited about 15 minutes. The people were friendly and the service was quick. The costs were reasonable and we both enjoyed our meals... More

We wired an hour and half. It was worth it. We all had something different and the grits were out of this world. My sister-in law even bought us a cookbook when we got back. Trying to lose weight so haven't tried the recipes but am looking forward to itc

My wife and I have eaten at the downtown location a number of times. This time we tried the south Asheville location. We were part of a party of six that arrived at 11:30 and were seated at 12:15. At about noon we notice a vacant table for six. After the table remained vacant for 10 minutes we asked the... More

Me and my girlfriend go here every time we visit Asheville. We absolutely love this place. The servers have great southern charm, with a little bit of the hippy attitude and dress (floral pattern aprons with half-sleeve tattoos). The best part is the food- it's always phenomenal. From the fried green tomatoes to the local honey, it tastes amazing. It's... More

We like Tupelo for lunch or brunch. The food is tasty and imaginatively prepared, wait staff is well-trained and knowledgeable, reasonably priced.
