Description: While we revere the time-honored traditions of the Southern cook, you will find our take on the Southern plate a little different. Because Tupelo Honey Cafe is a little different. Our transformation of just about everything Southern - from fried chicken to sweet potatoes to catfish - is decidedly spirited, independent, and frequently unscripted. Creativity rules in our kitchen where our larder is filled with scratch-made, inventive goodness. We ratchet up our flavors so they're on par with the farm-fresh produce we love. And we serve it all with a healthy measure of fun - with our heartfelt promise of delivering an experience worthy of the memories that tend to be made around our table.

The tables were very close together, making it difficult to carry on a conversation. The menu did have choices, but the food wasn't spectacular. Order was wrong, but it was still ok.

This is a precious restaurant with tons of atmosphere and charm. Our waiter was perfection. We had biscuits with blueberry jam -very good! I had Bryan's shrimp and grits. The roasted peppers were a good choice with the grits and the goat cheese, yummy! Our waiter suggested tabinaro picante which added a spicy kick. It didn't top my favorite shrimp... More

This is a great place to eat. During the summer there is usually a line in the evening. If you don’t want to wait, travel a few miles to the Tupelo Honey Cafe on Henderson Road. The food is the same without waiting for a table. Also the parking is better at this location. The food is excellent. There are... More

We went for dinner on a Saturday night, with a short 20 minute or so wait. My husband had a burger and sweet potato fries, I had spicy sweet bbq pork with mac and cheese and asparagus. We loved everything! The biscuits and blueberry jam they start the meal off with are heaven. I bought the cookbook and cannot wait... More

My husband, 4 year old son, and I ate lunch here and it was some of the best food we've ever had and the prices were reasonable. The whole farm to table thing is just the best way to go nowadays, and this proved again why. The food was so delicious and fresh. The staff was extremely nice and inviting.... More

We went for an early dinner after visiting the Biltmore and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We ordered the burger and the meatloaf and enjoyed every bite. The complimentary biscuit and jam they brought out were delicious!! The side of macaroni and cheese was good. The side of goat cheese grits were disappointing. There wasn't a lot of flavor in them.... More

Went to THC at 3pm on a friday afternoon, and had to get a little buzzer to wait for a table. 20 minutes later (just as the hostess predicted) the buzzer went of and we got a table. The place was very crowded, but still nice. The food was great southern-ish food. They brought a homemade biscuit and some of... More

Went for lunch and it was busy but got seated quickly. Service was quick and responsive. Shrimp tacos, chicken sandwich, and grilled cheese were all amazing. Grilled cheese seemed to be the family's favorite. By the time we left, there was a line out the door. Very popular place! Would definitely eat there again when in town.

Don't get me wrong the cafe is friendly and the food is ok but so over priced. When i first went there i wanted something hot to drink and ask for some hot tea. Well they gave me a tea bag and a cup of hot water and it cost me $3.45 I was shocked. I asked for some honey... More

my sister and I had a wonderful dinner here. There were many tempting traditional dishes but she had fresh trout with two sides (she chose grits and asparagus) and I had a type of chicken piccata with a delicious sauce, 5 shrimp on top and a mound of fresh asparagus. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. The biscuits with... More
