"You've got to got to Tupelo Honey when you're in Asheville" my friend who had been there a few months ago told me. After my recent visit I'll tell people the same thing. This was good ol' Southern cooking in a really friendly atmosphere. I didn't know simple food could be so good. more

Go. Immediately... and get some fried okra. The Southern standards are spot on. Every plate that passes by your table makes you wonder if you made the right selection. So much wonderful food and so little room in my stomach. The place was busy and with good reason. Don't let the crowd concern you. The entire staff was outstanding... buzzing... more

I am usually one that doesn't like to wait a long time to eat dinner, expecially at 8:30pm. BOY WAS IT WORTH IT!!!!!! I had the Ahi Tuna with Crab Cake and I have to say that it was awesome. The small cafe feel was eclectic, comfortable and nice. The small space was easy to forget given the placement of... more

We've been to THC a few times. The first time we went, I enjoyed the Eggs Crawley (eggs anystyle, asparagus, & crab cakes with hollandaise) & my husband had the famous sweet potato pancakes. His pancakes tasted like a cinnamony heavenly pancake. My eggs crawley was delish! Everytime I have been back since I have opted for the traditional breakfast... more

My husband and I ate here during our recent trip to Asheville. Although, we were initially put off by the long wait, it ended up not being as long as we were told. It was worth it! The fried green tomatoes served over goat cheese grits were incredible! I also enjoyed the fried okra (our server called it "Southern popcorn")... more

Tupelo Honey was recommended by everyone I talked to before going to Asheville, and by everyone I met when I was there. There are no reservations, so you may have to wait a little - I got there at 9 on a Friday, and waited 25 mins. Not bad. The only thing I can say is that "everyone" was right.... more

We read reviews of the cafe before we went to Asheville and knew it was suppose to have the best breakfast in town. That would be an understatement. Other than the noise-level, everything was absolutely fantastic (and the food and service more than make up for the little extra noise). We ate there twice and enjoyed the omelets, granola &... more

A year or so ago I read a rave review of THC in Southern Living Magazine so we went to Asheville and waited and ate at THC. We like everything about it and loved the food. Since that first time, we've been to THC at least five times. We have eaten at the bar and watched the kitchen at work..... more

We were a little hesitant about going to Tupelo Honey based on what we had read. However, once we ate there, we couldn't understand why people did not like the food or service. We even ended up going back a second time during our three day visit. The first night we had the veggie black bean burger extra crispy and... more
