What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Great Food, Awesome Town

Awesome food and awesome downtown experience. Parking was tricky with it being metered parking on the street. We ended up parking in a garage that was $1/hr after first hour being free. The restaurant was nice and pretty looking. A garden like patio area to eat. Small but enough space. This... read more

Tupelo Honey was recommended by almost everyone when we mentioned our trip to Asheville, NC. Don't misunderstand, it was good. However, it is also noisy, and very very crowded; not just waiting on a table crowded but also tables pushed close to other folks eating crowded. The food is, in my opinion, southern fried stepup from fast food. I like... More

Traditional southern breakfast menu, restaurant is located in the perfect area for eating breakfast and walking around the city. It's a must that you try the biscuits, I would recommend the blackberry jam to go with it. Prices were a little expensive, but worth the visit.

Went to breakfast on a Monday before heading home. The biscuits are just right, not dry at all. My wife and I split a dish and added the potatoes. While the potatoes were delicious, they could of drained them a little better, as there was a good amount of grease on our plate. Has a bloody mary, and it was... More

Went to Tupelo on a recommendation -I don't mind waiting 40 minutes if the food is great but it was mediocre at best. We unfortunately were seated right next to the bathroom line and it is totally uncomfortable having people stand next to your table white waiting to use the restroom. The best part of the whole meal were the... More

This place rocks. Great, vibrant atmosphere, busy but friendly staff, and awesome food. Southern favorites, adventurous appetizers and comfort food rule here. You won't be disappointed. We ate all over Asheville, and this place packed the most fun and good eats of any place visited.

Hey... I've been there a bunch of times and haven't been disappointed yet. As a kind of "foodie" I enjoy exploring various dishes and have found the service and all their plates really good...

We stopped by the Tupelo Honey because we wanted a very light lunch because we had a big dinner planned. The atmosphere is cozy, but very CRAMMED. It didn't bother me too much, but my husband really didn't like literally almost being on top of other people. He's not a fan of that. That's the biggest negative of this place.... More

This was another great restaurant in Asheville. Located right in the heart of town, it's a perfect spot for a fun cocktail and good food. The kale slaw and the buttermilk shrimp were wonderful. Make sure you arrive early though or make reservations.
