Description: While we revere the time-honored traditions of the Southern cook, you will find our take on the Southern plate a little different. Because Tupelo Honey Cafe is a little different. Our transformation of just about everything Southern - from fried chicken to sweet potatoes to catfish - is decidedly spirited, independent, and frequently unscripted. Creativity rules in our kitchen where our larder is filled with scratch-made, inventive goodness. We ratchet up our flavors so they're on par with the farm-fresh produce we love. And we serve it all with a healthy measure of fun - with our heartfelt promise of delivering an experience worthy of the memories that tend to be made around our table.

We went at 11:00 a.m. So the wait was short. We sat at the bar. The bartender was masterful in remembering what we wanted and in paying attention. The food was beyond delicious and we all ate from each other's plated with abandon. I loved every bite from every plate. It was fun, delicious, and memorable. Thank you!

Visiting and exploring town for a bit and came upon THC. Was so excited as I had heard & read so many positive reviews about it. Guessing in the crap shoot of service, we got the crap. Waited about 50 minutes on a Monday night for dinner. Seated out on the patio with a party of 4. Had been waiting... More

Here in town on a visit to UT. Had Sunday lunch and it was just plain awesome. Had chips and pimento cheese dip...really tasty. And then they served awesome biscuits...wow! I had the fried chicken and BLT sandwich which was very, very good. My wife had the egg white frittata and she really liked it too. A definite must and... More

Within a 1/2 hour we were seated (party of 4) and the menu offers a great variety of home cooked quality food! Our wait staff was excellent, attentive and the place was packed!! We loved everything about our meal and can't wait to get back. The bisquits and goat cheese grits are amazing!

Tupelo Honey has been my favorite restaurant since I was in high school and I would come with my family. The fried green tomatoes are awesome and are a definite must! We both had chicken dishes which were equally as delicious. Only downfall is that the service is quick and you can tell that they are a bit rushed, but... More

I was told over and over again to visit Tupelo Honey on our trip to Asheville. We arrived for a late Friday night dinner and waited nearly 45 minutes for a table. The restaurant was cramped, with too many tables, servers, and other diners waiting for a seat. When we were seated, our server was friendly and helpful and the... More

Big menu with lots of choices, locally sourced ingredients, great food - what's not to love?? The only downside is the wait, but they will take your number and text you when your table is ready so you can walk around downtown Asheville while you wait. Highly recommended!

I heard this place was all hype but I heard wrong! The sweet potato pancake is amazing!! They also now text when your table is ready which is really handy because there is almost always a wait.

Food was great. I had something off the seasonal menu and it was great. The waiter, however was in another world. We sat outside and our waiter was more concerned with what was going on on the sidewalk than he did with our table. A really strange experience. I mean the guy wouldn't even look at us when he was...
