What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Great Food & Drink

We heard about this place on Yelp. I tried the Lavender Gin cocktail which was a good start. I had the chorizo and goat cheese grits and ate every bite. My wife had the lamb meatballs which have a little curry. The food was Southern, but with a twist. Our server Darian was very... read more

I am not sure why I gave this 3*'s quite honestly, except that our waiter was wonderful, sort of Will Smith-like. He was a charmer, but I go to restaurants for very good food. First of all the menu just was not that interesting and the food was not great at all. I expect all food in a restaurant to... More

Brunch on a Sunday was very good. Goat cheese grits were delicious, eggs with pimento cheese were different, but very enjoyable. Service could run a little smoother & faster but I am sure over time that will work itself out.

Honey it is sweet there at Tupelo Honey. Located in the heart of triangle park city center, it has been a stand out for many years.

From the beginning to the end. I was visiting my friend who lives in Greenville, SC (which is MUST see) and we came to Asheville for the day. We had brunch here. The wait was an hour long, but it went by in no time since they text you when your table is ready!! We sat at the Chef's bar,... More

Cozy atmosphere, good southern food with a flare and fine service. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was busy. The trout was delicious and I loved their biscuits. The bacon meatloaf was good, but I'm not fond of the bbq sauce in it - others may love it. I would go back!

Joining the trend of offering small plates, Tupelo Honey has done a fine job of creating and delivering some delicious bites. We visited the mothership in downtown Asheville and had a great time. I went for the house smoked salmon but also enjoyed the mountain springrolls, wantons, and don't forget the complimentary muffins with house made blueberry jam and, of... More

We went to the downtown location and as many other reviewers have said, they are busy! Plan for it. We lucked up and were able to be seated at the bar immediately. They serve biscuits with blueberry jam, which were really delicious. I ordered the Charleston Chicken Sandwich, which has Havarti cheese (one of my favorites) and cranberry mayonnaise. Admittedly,... Went for breakfast on a Wednesday morning @ 10am, so there was no line and no wait. Party of three, spacious table. I got the Eggs Betty, which is a basic Benedict with a side of cheese grits. The biscuits were fluffy and served with a side of fresh blueberry jam. The Benedict was pretty plain with underwhelming Hollandaise sauce.... More
