Very good, unusual middle eastern food!

A popular if unusual destination in Asheville, Rezaz serves a good variety of ample, reasonably priced, well seasoned appetizers and entrees. A popular if unusual destination in Asheville, Rezaz serves a good variety of ample, reasonably priced, well seasoned appetizers and entrees. Service was quick, friendly, and professional; adult beverage menu had both common and eclectic options, well made and typically priced for the area. As usual for the city, parking was in rather short supply; reservations suggested. An excellent destination... More

Everything else we had: calamari, fattoush, veal meatballs, were great. Paella was greasy and disappointing. Mussels were okay. Shrimp and scallop good. NOTa Columbia level paella. We really like this place, but hope they fix the paella

Cozy place with great chandeliers. Friendly vibe. Had the Crisp Manchego w/ Raspberry Jam & Honey appetizer, which was good. Hard to beat fried cheese! one of us only eats white meat chicken or turkey, neither of which was on the menu. Ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli. Pleasant, but nothing special. Also had one of the evening specials of Red... More

We're a 60s couple, lived here 10+ plus years. We do pubs and we do nice dining -- when we do nice dining, we want a good meal but don't feel like paying $45-50 for entrees (Ruth Chris, Grove Park Inn, Red Stag for example). For nice dining we think this leaves Rezaz, Corner Kitchen and Chestnut. (We also love... More

Consierge recommended rezaz for dinner. Who would think we would need reservations on a Sunday evening in January. no worries, we were seated shortly, and had one of our best meals ever. I would drive up from charlotte for the calamari alone. Beet salad was devine. So many great entrees to choose from. Pastry chef was sampling desserts...who had room?

Where else, even in a city much bigger than Asheville, can you find such a great menu? The chef draws from great cuisines - Iranian, Lebanese, Turkish, Greek, Italian, French, Spanish, Moroccan - with an occasional wild card thrown in. He makes what he likes and he isn't shy about employing seasonings not found elsewhere in town. The ambience is... More

Went in with three for lunch. Food came and the calamari was excellent as was the babaganouch. We ordered an $80 bottle of white burgundy and no one knew if it was a white wine, red wine or if they had it. I had to take an employee in the storage are to tell them what the label looked like.... Wow! What a dining experience. I can't say enough about it. 5 courses, wine pairings and a table in the kitchen. One of the beast meal experiences I've ever had.

Mediterranean food with Iranian flare. Good chef. Decent wine list and prices, Several draft craft beers. Upper mid price. Be aware entrance is through bakery cafe that is closed in PM. Looks like the place in empty, but diners are led to an adjacent room that was active. I'll bet some people see the totally empty tables in the cafe... More

We dined at Rezaz on a Sunday evening after an exhausting afternoon touring the nearby Biltmore estate. This was exactly the relaxed, intimate, delicious dining experience we needed to recuperate. We started with a snack ($6) of fried manchega cheese with a berry preserve spread. Very yummy, but a little heavy for a starter. Would be great for dessert. We... More
