We have visited before and it has always been good. However today was a surprise in that we don't normally see it opened after Church for lunch. We were surprised while driving by and we're not disappointed. I had the pork soup or stew as it should be known by. Great flavor on a cool winter afternoon. Unique menu with... More

Once you discover Cecilia's Kitchen you will want to go back again and again. It is one of the best secrets for amazing food in Asheville. Just north of downtown, it is easy to find off Merrimon Ave. This is a locally owned cozy restaurant that serves very tasty food made with love and passion from high quality ingredients. The... The place is a delight. Delicious food, excellent service, and above all a good vibe, friendly as can be. My wife and I shared a large salad, excellent, then a crepe for each of us, the plates were all clean by the time we were done. We'd already eaten plenty, but couldn't resist a chocolate and raspberry dessert crepe. Heavenly.... More

We stopped by Cecilia's for lunch on our way out of town, and ended up having the best meal of our entire trip to Asheville. Cecilia's warm, cozy kitchen welcomed us with the inviting aroma of fresh made crepes, hot coffee and other goodies along with inviting smiles and an hospitable atmosphere. At the restaurant, we ordered the mushroom and... More

We had lunch today at Cecelia's Kitchen on Merrimon Ave. north of Asheville (seats around 20 people). Our first time there, an article in a local newspaper had brought it to our attention. I had the pork tamales and my wife had the beef empenadas. They came served on a plate with some salad greens on the side topped with... More

The empanadas and tamales were excellent. Service was cheerful and helpful. The place certainly isn't fancy but the food is great and the prices are right. I recommend the spinach empanada.

After reading the article in the Asheville paper about Cecelia's Kitchen and the food truck I was excited to see it today. Sadly he was out of beef so I was not able to get the Carne de Vaca Empanada. We ordered the pork tamale and eggplant empanada. The empanada was very good. I was somewhat dissipointed in the tamale.... More

I am actually writing my review here of what I had from the Cecilia's Kitchen food truck posted at the Asheville farmers' market. I know they are the same owner, so I figured writing it here is the best way to get my rave review out there. My friends suggested I try one of her famed breakfast crepes - and... More

My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, and Ceci make a couple modifications to the recipes, and my wife loved it. She got a gluten-free crepe. I got the same thing, and I thought it was delicious. My wife got another crepe with a small side salad (also good) to take home. Prices are very reasonable and the food was... More
