Two of us had the venison and it was delicious and done well. All enjoyed his/her meal. It's expensive, especially if you want a cocktail.

The Vue 1913 in the Grove Park Inn is truly an upscale restaurant. The menu selection are top rate, the service is excellent and the views of Asheville & the nearby mountains are great. This is setup as a top tier restaurant and as such the food portions are small but pricy. This definitely is what one might consider a... More

We celebrated my husband's birthday and my friend's birthday. There were 6 of us, and all enjoyed their meals. From Catch of the Day grouper to the upgraded Kobe steak, to the lamb - all delcious. My husband's Cream Bruelee is the best I've ever stolen from him, and the hot chocolate - great. Others liked the lemon tarts. Our... More

Loved the service - exceptional, very helpful. Atmosphere - quiet, but not stuffy. Food - smoked oysters and lobster bisque were not worth the hype or the money. Our duck and steak frites entrees were reasonably good. The wine list was extensive and we got a very good, reasonably priced Malbec. I don't think that we would go back... We... More

The Vue is hidden in the Sammons wing behind the Presidential Lounge. The service was spot on. The duckling was tender and delicious. Our party thoughly enjoyed the dining. We also thought that the cost was reasonable for the quality of the food and location in a top tier hotel. If you are dining in the cool weather, don't miss... More

There are not enough positive things we can say about our dining experience at Vue 1913. Our server, Ben H, was absolutely awesome. Friendly and professional, Ben was very informative about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The scallop starter was cooked perfectly. Main course filet was best steak T. ever had. I went with the Chef's tasting menu that... More

We stayed at the beautiful Grove Park Inn during the holiday season. Arrived late in the evening and chose Vue 1913 for our first dinner versus the Edison which is the more casual restaurant at the hotel. Reservations were easy to get. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu has all the usual choices; but prepared in their own inventive... More

I will say when we made reservations we were very excited. We had read some reviews, and spoken to several people, and this seemed like the best choice to fit both of our palettes. We were promptly seated by a window seat. I will preface this review by saying the staff was at all times, attentive and pleasant and exceptional.... More

Our party of 3 were very pleased with our visit. The sommelier is very educated in wine. We all were given wine recommendations that matched well with our meals. My entree was the fish of the day and it was delicious. It was a very calm and peaceful experience. It was definitely a great way to kick off our holiday... More

Here's the 1,2,3s... 1. Went for US Thanksgiving Dinner (chose this place because I didn't want a turkey buffet), and it didn't disappoint. They had a 3 course Pre-Fixe menu with a couple choices in each course. Several wines by the glass choices of some decent wines. Although the experience was good, I would not repeat (unless it were another... More
