Very warm atmosphere - tons of books to browse through, wine, coffee, snacks. Dog friendly, so if you don't like dogs, this may not be the place to stop. I did decide once to leave when there were 6 large dogs in the aisles. Another time however, it was a perfect stop for a glass of wine and snack -... More

We were here and found it to be a very relaxing atmosphere for a glass of wine and an unwind. Staff was very nice and helpful. Even the other patrons were friendly. The wine selection was also outstanding. Go here, sit down, have a glass of wine and relax. You will be happy you did.

What a fun place! You have to visit you walk around the bookstore and get lost in between finding people having wine parties! It's great fun

I met here with friends a few times. Service was either pushy (e.g. hurry up and order something) or impossible to find. I'm puzzled by TA including this as a restaurant. They serve wine, beer, and snacks. Be prepared for the usual Asheville tourist mark-up. If you think you found a quiet place to sit and chat, just wait for... More

I LOVE this bookstore. It is dog friendly (I didn't have one, but got to play with a few!) and has plenty of wine, coffee and snacks to keep you comfortable as you browse the shelves and shelves of books. This bookstore alone makes me want to move to Asheville. Really friendly wait staff, lots of nooks, wifi, and fun.... More

My wife and I found ourselves in the Grove Arcade area one evening. Feeling a bit peckish, we stumbled into Battery Park Book Exchange. It felt like we were in the village, with racks of books, people talking with friends, the aroma of cappuccino and some incredible looking desserts under glass on the counter. We wandered around the book shelves,... More

Such an enchanting establishment! We visited the Battery Park Book Exchange after dinner; and, it was the perfect way to top off the evening. Start with a glass of wine; and, then meander through shelf-upon-shelf of books. If you find an interesting book and wish to spend more time with it, just plop down on one of the many, comfortable... I walked in and instantly fell in love!!!! Books, books, books, and more books---upstairs, downstairs, every nook and cranny is jammed packed with books! And, to top it off, you can get a glass of wine, a designer coffee, some champagne---sit at the bar or find a hidden away comfy leather chair, or couch, and enjoy browsing or reading. What... More

Reminds me of Paris's famed Shakespeare and Company. Books with style with a reading experience to match. The different areas to park oneself allows for hiding, privacy and a bit of the exotic similar perhaps to many of the books one might find. It feels like a Story. Go.

We had great wine, charcuterie, cheese plate - and even though we were in town for only two days went back the next night for a late night drink and repeat of the platters since it was so good. The vibe is brilliant -- combines the best of the book store experience for bibliophiles with an intimate place to enjoy... More
