Love going to this little hideaway on Leicester highway. The subs are delicious, the pizza is amazing, and the service is expedient. My wife and I frequently dine and will continue too for years too come!

We ordered spaghetti and a cheese pizza. Nothing spectacular. The cheese was good but the tomato sauce didn't compliment it. Whoever cooked up the sauce needs to find another recipe. Barlic bread was not cooked enough. Service was friendly but a bit on the slow side. Will probably not return.

We have been to Pappas pizza several times and have come to expect good food, great service and price. This week's trip did not disappoint. We started with the small order if bacon cheese fries and and they were WONDERFUL, (and a lot of them I cant imagine the large size) then a small cheese pizza for the kids and... More

I was lured here by a friend stating that is the equivalent of some of the more progressive and exciting restaurants in Asheville. The servers are friendly enough and attentive to your needs but that's about the best thing i received that day. We had the cheese and bacon fries, which were a HUGE order for a large, but that's... Our first restaurant in Asheville the night we moved in, we saw lots of cars and thought "it's close and must be pretty good". My wife ordered pizza and I had the tortellini, neither was up to what we consider decent Italian. The pizza was runny and had an off taste, the tomato sauce in my tortellini was far too... More

We dined here on a Friday night and I didn't mind waiting because a full parking lot usually means it's gonna be GOOD! Did not disappoint, my family got a variety of steak, fish and shrimp tacos, all were very good. The chips here come with a side dish of beans and then there is a salsa bar to try... More

Papa's is a neighborhood independent Italian/Greek place that's very popular with the residents of the Erwin/Leicester area. Nothing fancy, just basic Greek and pizza/pasta menu when you want to fill up and let someone else do the dishes. The folks who run this place are very nice, hard working people who support the community and serve food that locals like... More

I've been eating here about twice a month for several years. Asheville has a quite a few of the Greek / (nominally) Italian restaurants. Papa's is above average. As other reviewers have mentioned you can get a tremendous amount of food here. A large sandwich will easily feed two. The Italian dishes are average in my opinion, the Greek dishes... More
