I've been going to Edna's for about 5 or 6 years (since it was Mountain Java). It is one of my regular stops and I've never had a bad experience there. I was surprised to read a couple of the negative reviews - I say ignore them - someone must have been having a bad day. It is cozy, clean... More

The pug theme is cute, the sandwiches were good and I was not asked to leave when my baby started crying and I had to nurse her. Mind you, I covered everything up, but the staff gave me smiles and did not harrass me. You'd be surprised at the nasty looks you get when you nurse your baby, but not... More

I enjoy the coffee and espresso at Edna's but I ate breakfast here and the food just was not good. They do have some gluten free options, which is nice, but I will stick with the coffee from now on!

Terrible experience(s) here. Long lines for poor coffees and terrible food. I haven't been back here since around March but coming back last week there were so many changes not in a good way. There's some gas station looking machine that swirls behind the counter and bagged chips instead of nice side chips for the food (which again makes it... More

My wife and I were looking for a café-like place that had good coffee and breakfast throughout the day. We hit the jackpot driving along Merrimon Avenue in Asheville. Had some sort of egg sandwich which was delicious! I like the pug dog theme too. Cute!

This is our favorite coffee and/or lunch places in Asheville. We have been there over a dozen times. The staff is always polite and diligent and occasionally we had to wait a few minute because of a new person or a linet of people. The restaurant is clean and modern and of local flair. I love their mocha milkshake and... More

At one time Edna's was a great place but the quality of their staff has deteriorated over the past several months. They've seemed to develop a penchant for hiring misfits who project their social inadequacies into the customer experience. A typical Edna's visit may now include rudeness, incorrect orders, and some of the slowest barista service I've ever witnessed. All... More

Edna's of Asheville's serves creative and delicious snacks and beverages often made from local ingredients. The ambiance is kitch 50's diner enhanced with a few really comfortable couches. The food is great (try a fresh fruit smoothy!), but I love the waitstaff! They always greet me with warmth and humor - they've got pizazz and personality, and clearly enjoy working... More

So this was my first visit to Edna's, but not to the location, which has housed several equally disappointing coffee shops over the years. The service was beyond awful/awkward/ridiculous. I had to wait forever to even place my order (with squirming toddler in tow) with NO LINE. I was told my name would be called then waited forever for our... More

I love Edna's! Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Coffee and tea are excellent, and the staff is friendly. This is truly one of the most welcoming places in Asheville. I'm comfortable running in for a quick lunch or pulling out my laptop and getting a lot of work done. There is nothing hurried about this place. It's all homemade... More
