We came looking for a bite to eat on a Sunday afternoon. What a treat! There are local musicians who come here to play traditional Irish music. And it was fabulous! Food was good. Service was great. And the music was perfect!

Excellent food in a traditional Irish Pub atmosphere. Lots of beer choices...be sure to experiment! Local musicians were performing and it seems that there is live music almost every night. Great local atmosphere!

I consider myself a burger addict and all of us at the table very much enjoyed our burgers at Jack of the Wood. They have other items on the menu ranging from fish and chips to Shepherds' Pie. They are feature all current beers from Green Man Brewery and also have a nice selection from other local, craft brewers. Our... More

Great selection of local brews on tap in a great setting. I don't know much about the night scene as we were there pretty early on a thursday evening. Bar and seating areas were clean and welcoming.

Great pub and grub, good atmosphere and good service, what more could you ask for?! The place was very busy but our wait staff did a good job. Would definitely visit here again should I find myself in the area!

I've been here twice now and both times I've walked in the door and felt like I had just stepped into party. From what I can tell, you seat yourself and based on your timing, you might have trouble finding a chair. We got lucky and got there just as someone was leaving. It took ages before we saw a... Went here for dinner. They have a great corned beef sandwich. Several different beers. Entertainment. Nice place to stop when in downtown Asheville.

Love this place. Their house brew, Green Man, is delicious. The bar has a great comfortable feel and is right under Laughing Seed. Jack of the Wood has great music too, and fun sidewalk seating.

We went on Halloween, so I can't really say that I had a typical experience. But it seemed to be full of locals and had a fun atmosphere. They brew their own beer, and my house IPA was great. I also had the parsnip fried. Good stuff! Live music as well, although we left before that happened. Great Green Man-themed... More
