Visited Jack of the Woods on Trivia Night and had a blast. The trivia is challenging and patrons really seemed to have a good time. They have a full line of Green Man brews as well as some other local favorites. Service was very good and our waitress was very nice and engaging. This is a fun place and I... More

We happened here on a Thursday evening. Bluegrass music was promised, according to my research ahead of our trip. The group Mountain Feist came on and wow! Really good music, nice performance. We tipped and bought their CD, Withering Rose I think it was called. Nice listening on our way back to Florida. Oh yes, the craft brew selection is... More

We grabbed a drink while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. Live music was great and not overpowering. Wait staff was friendly and efficient.

My family and I went looking for a good burger and happened in to this gem of a pub. Being English, I know what makes a good pub. Beer! Lots of it and plenty of variety, which this place does very well. The Scottish Wee Heavy-er and Green Man ESB are excellent. But the bison burger was truly mouthwatering and... More

The beer: awesome. Lots of local choices to make. Prices were standard craft beer prices. The Food: Pretty good. We were all from the sandwich menu and the quality and portion matched the pub prices. The music: Spectaclular. It was such a pleasure we chanced to be there Wednesday for the Old Time Mountain Music jam. They were playing when... More

Beer was $3.97 a pint--we couldn't believe it. What a deal! They have craft brews which were delicious. We didn't eat a meal there due to a filling lunch but did order the loaded nachos and chips/dip. Both were large and tasty.

Stopped in for a drink and music. There was a $5.00 cover charge band was worth it. Staff was very friendly, place clean and busy. They have a good Bloody Mary, with lime and large olives. Good beer choices, and we snacked on great Garlic and Cheese steak-cut fries, tossed in garlic and rosemary, and melted cheddar-jack cheese. YUM We... More

We found this place through Trip Advisor and we are so glad we did! The atmosphere and food selection are amazing. You must try the Scotch Eggs - the best we have ever had. We will be back!

If you are looking to enjoy a not so crowded pub, have a local beer and be able to talk to your partner, this is the spot for you. You won't have to fight with the 20 somethings for elbow room and there's even a dance floor if you are feeling spry! My boyfriend and I visited for the July... More
