The service was really good and we had an great server. The food was average and I wouldn't go back. I was with a picky eater so it was a good restaurant for that matter. However, the pickle chips were the best ones I have ever had but that isn't enough to get me to go back.

Loved the food and beer but the service was slow. Even during a rush it seemed too slow for an easy meal.

I love this place. Always visit when I am in town. The atmosphere is great. Don't expect to find a seat on a Friday or Saturday night. Has pub food but modernized.

The Pub is a good mix of locals and tourists with great food, variety of music and beer. They do not brew but have a good selection of local breweries. Good Irish atmosphere with nice bar and good selection of drinks. Food is awesome.....had the Reuben and it was one of the best I've eaten.

Stopped in for dinner on a weeknight, it wasn't very crowded, and we were seated right away. Nice beer selection, great service, food was excellent. I liked that you could just get a side of goat cheese (I LOVE goat cheese), which I proceeded to put on my burger. Loved the music as well. We did not stay for the... More

Wish we had not been so tired from a full day of sight-seeing that we couldn't stay for the music after we stopped for dinner on a Friday night. Very busy, but did not have to wait for a table. Daughter had bison burger and fries...said was excellent. I had salmon fish and chips. Also very good. Huge selection of... More

In Asheville with my husband on a business trip and at night we would walk around and find spots that have music. We stayed at the Aloft and the concierge told us of Jack in the Wood. We set off walking and arrived in no time. Sat at a table in the back and ordered some Green Man beers and... More

Great place to sit, have a good drink, some good food, and if you are there at the right time…good music! Being a single woman I love going in here…I don't feel out of place or alone because there is always someone to chat with. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Visited Jack of the Woods on Trivia Night and had a blast. The trivia is challenging and patrons really seemed to have a good time. They have a full line of Green Man brews as well as some other local favorites. Service was very good and our waitress was very nice and engaging. This is a fun place and I... More
