Unique bar that was actually a fire escape of a very old building in Asheville. An elevator man takes you up to the 8th floor and you can choose to stay on the level or go down to 7th or 6th floors. A great view for a sunset. Busiest on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Great Sunset views, but don't go in bad weather!

This is a partially covered three floor complex of decks attached to the outside of an office building. It's not for those with acrophobia! There are always creative drink specials or you can opt for beer. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are about $10 for a cocktail, but the... read more

You show your ID to a person that takes you up an old cage elevator. There are 3 different balconies. We were told it was pretty busy so bear with our wait staff. We found a table right away and our waiter was soon to follow. Great selection of craft cocktails. Drinks very good and reasonably priced. Views of city... More

You need your id to enter and ride the elevator up to the bar. It is a one drink minimum nonalcoholic or alcohol . There are three levels to venture out on. This is not An average bar with a view. It feels like a fire escape with a great 180 degree view of mountains and downtown. As you pass... More

We loved this place and will definitely go back again and again. The view is spectactular and the drinks are yummy. I enjoyed going to a "bar" without loud music or a weird hippy vibe. As a local, this one's a keeper.

If you are in Asheville and have time before or after dinner this is a must to check out for a sunset drink. Its tucked away off of Wall St. and you may miss it if you're not looking. They have some awesome drinks worth the wait and definitely worth the view.

Great views, decent drinks, pricey but a one of a kind experience in Asheville. Great sunset views! Good for couples, groups, or business drinks.

Great view, but that's about it. Slow service, expensive drinks. Not much else to add...skip it and go someplace else!

The Sky Bar is a must visit joint if you're with friends or your sweetheart, or even a business meeting. Kids? Nah. We didn't eat there, but we did enjoy a fabulous Gin & Tonic on the outside deck which cleans to the side of a tall building. Fun and classy.

This place is on a fire escape for the flat iron building in downtown Asheville. With wonderful views of the Grove Mall and an eclectic cocktail menu, this place was awesome. Just prepare to pay - it's $10 a drink, on average.

The Basics - Not handicap friendly. Parking meter or garage. $$ for cocktails. Staff - Amazing! Okay, if you've ever wanted to see the city of Asheville in all it's glory with views of the mountains and to die for sunsets here is the place for you to stop in. Take in the original elevator with a darn cute elevator... More
