Description: Unique bar that was actually a fire escape of a very old building in Asheville. An elevator man takes you up to the 8th floor and you can choose to stay on the level or go down to 7th or 6th floors. A great view for a sunset. Busiest on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Overpriced bar trying to be something you would see in a larger city but in Asheville it just feels pretentious and out of place.

This is an Asheville must do! Step on the old time elevator to the top of the building - remember to tip the elevator worker! Drinks are a little on the pricey side - about $10/each - but made well and worth every penny. If the weather is bad or you don't feel like sitting outside, they also have a... More

Tried to go for the view and drinks at 5:00pm before dinner. We had no idea the elevator was a required part of the "experience" so we took the stairs. Apparently that's a big no no but it was the very rude way the doorman told us that was disappointing. We also had our teenage son with us who was... More

Located in a beautiful old building. You ride an old elevator to the bar with beautiful views. The outdoor seating is very limited but worth the wait. The service and drinks were good but the view was wonderful.

Besides the view, the sky bar was horrible. The service was low, inaccurate, and pretentious. The food was overpriced, and the wait was long. We were cramped in a small area on a fire escape, which was used as a balcony. The drinks were overpriced and weak. There are many wonderful places in Asheville to go to for a nice... More

Sky Bar is located in the Flat Iron Building. This is such a cool old building & you board an old elevator to get there. Note space is limited & you may have to wait but it is worth the wait for a drink with an awesome view. When 3 people come down, 3 people can go up, they want... More

You cannot go to Ashville without going to Skybar! Their drinks are delicious and creative and you will thank us when you see this sunset. It's perfect. So great to watch with a freshing cocktail and the one you love!

Located in downtown Asheville, across from the Haywood Hotel the Sky Bar has three levels. Sitting at comfortable tables on the building's fire escape offers each visitor a great sunset view and drinks snacks along with a limited menu. Definitely worth a stop.

We've been here before and loved the view so we (of course) returned. The elevator butler was exceptional-great personality and informative. You can't beat the beautiful views of the mountains but they've changed their order style - there's no bar to go up to or sit at, they just have waiters that come around. We sat inside (they have a... More

I really enjoyed this place. My first time in Asheville and some friends took me there. Elevator service was friendly, be it a wait and the wait staff seemed as communication was not happening between each other. Could be a little faster and more efficient in this area, however everything was very good and I had a great time. I... More
