Food is good but service continues to be a problem

Located off the beaten path of most downtown restaurants, but on the beaten path to the south slope craft breweries, Storm Rhum Bar and Bistro offers very good food, delicious rum drinks, but still struggles with the issue others have mentioned, service. Located off the beaten path of most downtown restaurants, but on the beaten path to the south slope craft breweries, Storm Rhum Bar and Bistro offers very good food, delicious rum drinks, but still struggles with the issue others have mentioned, service. Very pleasant dining room with bar at opposite end in a modern building. Tables are close together so... More

Situated on a quiet corner just off the main drag of downtown Asheville, this is a sweet place to hang with your honey if you like a mellow atmosphere. We met friends there and had bar appetizers before going to an early show. Bartenders were friendly and attentive.

We chose Storm Rhum Bar for our New Year's Eve celebratory dinner and were so glad that we did. The food was amazing!

This is the second time we dined here. The first was a few months ago and our experience was not bad. Thus, when friends suggested it, we agreed. Sadly, this time we were very disappointed. The sweat breads were the best, at B+. The butcher plate were mostly ordinary items. We'd give it a C or D. By contrast, a... More

We had really looked forward to eating here with dear friends. They had visited it several years ago. The atmosphere and room are fun and inviting. There were 4 other couples dining and we were seated jammed up to all of them, though some other interesting tables were available. The wait staff corrected me when I asked, while water was... More

The drinks were good but the food and service where absolutely terrible. The waitress had a bad attitude and was rude and insulting. The burgers were tiny, tasteless, and as hard as a hockey puck. The orders all came out wrong and the steaks were not prepared as ordered. The only up side of the evening besides the good company... More

This was our first time at Storm Rhum Bar. This place was "happening". The bar was jumping, the dining room tables for two are tight, the atmosphere is festive. Oh, and then the food. We had bib lettuce salads that were divine. I kind of felt the lettuce came straight from the chef's private garden. It seemed that fresh. My... More

This was our first time here and we went for the $10 Burger and Beer Monday special. The burgers were excellent however the fries were a bit too salty for my taste. Probably just a heavy hand by the person cooking tonight. They allowed a substitution of a glass of wine for the beer and an upgrade from fries to... More

You have to look for Storm, but it's worth it. Good food, great drinks, good service. Maybe a little noisy, but otherwise a great time the three times I've eaten there.
