Great barbecue and craft beer in a cool location

Pretty cool to have a meal in what used to be the stables of the Biltmore House. We had a group of 5 and were quicly seated in one of the horse stalls. Our waiter was very hospitable and a bit of a character-hehad a big beard and looked like a master brewer so I trusted his beer knowledge. My... read more

We had a late lunch here on April 23 after touring the House. Nice atmosphere, and our server, Donna, was a delight. So attentive and pleasant. Chatted with us about the Estate, all the dining venues there, and her many years working at Biltmore. The food was mediocre. Maybe because it was almost closing time. We shared the Sampler for... My seven girlfriends and I visited Biltmore House on April 15th for the Downton Abbey Costume display and ate lunch at the Stable Cafe. We had made reservations for seven but a friend at the last minute joined us so the manager gave the okay to put two tables together to accommodate us. That was so nice of them to... More

We were served by Carlos who was excellent, attentive and a great guide to menu. The food was delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert and they sounded wonderful.

I had the Stable Cafe Sampler. The Stable sweet pickles were really good. Well all of it was really good! The roasted chicken was so buttery good and the pulled pork was moist and didn't need any help from a sauce. The grits and ribs were spot on as well. My wife liked her Black & White Bean Burger and... More

We have eaten a few times before at the Stable Café, which is part of the wonderful complex of buildings associated with the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. This time we were disappointed. The service was adequate, but the food was not as good. I ordered the quiche which was accompanied with a salad. The salad was very average. The quiche... More

We are food snobs... so we were happily surprised to find the food was wonderful. Fresh and made from scratch, everything was great. Our boys had fun eating in the stable! Sangria was a nice refreshing drink after touring the house. No reason to leave the estate for lunch.

We ate here during a recent trip to the Biltmore Estate. This is the original stable area of the estate and has been refinished into a restaurant with a wonderful warm atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be seated in one of the "stalls" or very fancy booths. My husband had the rotisserie chicken which he said was delicious and... More

Carlos was our waiter and he was fabulous. We ordered the chicken salad sandwiches and the prime rib sandwich. The food was so good. The prime rib sandwich was just perfect for dipping in the aujus sauce. The bread did not fall apart but instead after being dipped would melt in your mouth. Ask for Carlos as your waiter he...
