Wife and I met a couple of friends for conversation and dinner last evening and everything was very good. The hostess and server were both VERY pleasant and nice. The food was served in a timely manner and at the right temperature. We never felt pressured or rushed to leave even though we did spend some time just visiting. Prices... More

I like both Tupelo Honeys, but it is a nice to have this alternative to not be in the thick of downtown, and it opens later in the day and therefore doesn't have that rush of a line. Their menu is great, and the quality of food great. Over time their signature biscuits have gotten significantly smaller...boo.

On our recent trip to the Asheville area, my husband and I ate at Tupulo Honey Cafe South twice. The decor is great -- think front porch -- and the wait staff was excellent. We both loved the Appalachian egg rolls (pulled pork), and the complementary biscuits with blueberry preserves. I thought the "Shoo Grill Cheese Have Mercy" was yummy,... More

We went to Tupelo Honey Café on the south side of Asheville after a recommendation from our waiter at another restaurant in Asheville. I had the chicken piccata with jumbo shrimp....WOW!!! Delish!! Highly recommend this place!

While visiting Asheville, we wanted to try TH. It was lunchtime and not very crowded. The hostess was seating us at a table, and we asked for a booth, as there were several empty. She acted irritated, but sat us in a booth. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Once the waiter showed up, he said he... More

We stopped here with friends for lunch while enroute to the Biltmore. I can not say enough good things about our meal. Our server was very patient and explained the various offerings. The Appalachian Egg Rolls, Fried Green Tomatoes and Goat Cheese Grits were delicious. We sat outside by choice but will warn that it can get a bit noisy... More

excellent food, great server, warm attractive atmosphere, only 3 min wait for table, friendly staff. The huge biscuits with blueberry compote were fantastic. We had chicken picatta and the nutty fried chicken and both were good- ample portions. It was located in a small mall so parking was no problem. They also had outdoor seating.

I used to love Tupelo Honey. The atmosphere, unique offerings and delicious taste. This visit, several years later, is decidedly not as delicious. Perhaps because I went to the Asheville South location? The waitress was not accommodating and seemed irritated to be there in general. The okra and biscuits were delicious but that's where the fun ended. All of our... More

We were so lucky to stop in! The menu here is fun and focused on fresh ingredients and comfort foods. The biscuits truly are notable. Above all, the service is beyond welcoming. Such a great place!

Really enjoyed ourselves here. I lived the trout with asparagus and grits. My kids enjoyed their kids' menu selections. Fried green tomatoes were a bit greasy but very tasty. My husband says the biscuits and blueberry jam was "off the charts!" We were disappointed that the Flourless chocolate cake wasn't on the menu any more, but all in all we... More
