What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Yummy biscuits

Had dinner tonight. The lamb meatball appetizer and the hot biscuits were the best thing. Everyone loved their dish...salmon, spinach arugela salad with chicken and hamburgers. Some didn't like the sourness of the pickles on the burgers. Very friendly staff.

Sunday morning and looking to go out for breakfast. We found this on the web. I didn't know they had a south Asheville location nor that they had breakfast. Great biscuits while we waited for breakfast. Scrambled eggs and cheese grits for me, over easy eggs and home fries for wifey. Everything was excellent. Can't wait to go back again.

Since taking a family member for her birthday this summer, my husband and I always plan to hit this location. Easier parking than downtown and you can make a reservation online. What I really like is you can do small plates or have a full on meal. So far everything we'ce eaten is beyond tasty. As a daughter of the... More

My last review of this restaurant was a little down on their biscuits as they didn't seem to be as good as usual. This time the biscuits were much better (maybe the cook had had a bad day?) and we enjoyed them a lot. My husband had the chicken BLT which he really likes and I had the pimento cheddar... More

We loved this restaurant! They serve all the traditional southern food, fried green tomatoes, biscuits, fried chicken etc. but they have lots of other choices on their menu as well. While you are waiting for your food, they bring hot home made biscuits and honey to your table...yum! The food is really good and the prices are very fair. Be... More

At least they were willing to accommodate my carry-out needs, butt the food was just O.K., I had the shrimp and grits (signature dish) and it was far too spicy, and *like* spicy food. The shrimp were properly cooked, but the bit of veggies with them were way over-done and the grits were pretty much ruined by the take-out container... More

Just had dinner and both my wife and I were VERY pleased. The waiter was amazing and the food even better. We ate outside and the people watching was a total bonus. Really good place to eat.

We tried Tupelo Honey for the first time. What a great surprise. The food is very tasty with a nice balance of savory and sweet with lots of crunch from loads of chopped fresh vegetables as complements to the main dishes. We had the medium bite three tacos, trout and a macaroni and cheese for my teen. All three dishes... More

We were passing through Asheville on our way back to South Carolina at lunch time so a visit to Tupelo Honey Cafe was definitely in the cards. The service is always great and food outstanding. My wife stuck with one of her favorites, the Venerated Veggie Bowl with fried chicken...always a good choice. I tried something new for me, the... More
