What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Worth a try

The chicken was very good but it was still overpriced for one chicken breast. The menu said I could choose 2 sides but I was only given the option to select 1 and then they added some sort of spinach/veggie mix which I hate but there was plenty of mac and cheese. They only brought one biscuit... read more

We finally got to go to Tupelo Honey Cafe! We were driving up from Savannah GA and stopped here for lunch! We sat outside and what a great atmosphere. They serve a biscuit and jam as a starter and then the best food! Suggest the grilled cheese and kale and carrot salad as a side! I even bought s shirt... More

Joined family for luncheon midweek. Service was excellent and food was very tasty. Have used this venue on several occasions with very good results.

I was excited to try Tupelo Honey Cafe as I had heard so much about the place and was told it is a must go restaurant. I didn't eat dinner at the Biltmore so I could try out this place. The restaurant was slow when I arrived by the staff was very friendly but I was surprised I was seated... More

The menu is extensive with good food. The outdoor patio is a nice place...we ate there. Not as much of a wait as downtown Asheville.

Have you ever been really excited to try a new place and then just felt let down by a lackluster server? That is how we felt. We had a reservation which was needed. The lady that welcomed us was very nice and even helped us get the cook books we bought signed. The food was perfect (the shrimp and grits... More

Asheville has a lot of wonderful, locally owned restaurants, and for many years Tupelo Honey Cafe was on our list of reliable favorites. Then came expansion and maybe a loss of focus. To us, their quality suffered, they lost their

I ate here just because I saw the cookbook. I began with the fried avocado in salsa. Weird combo being served with nothing to dip it in. It needed chips, but it was delicious and some of the best salsa I've ever had! Don't dip the biscuit,I tried it. I also enjoyed the black bean burger and quinoa salad, both... More
