What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!

Great local food.

I always enjoy going to local places when I travel, and Tupelo Honey Café did not disappoint. Delicious food and friendly staff, can't ask for much more than that. This location was very close to the Biltmore Estate, so it's perfect if you want to grab a bite after a tour of the estate. I would... read more

We have eaten at the downtown location before and were very pleased. The southern location on Hendersonville Hwy. is just as good. A very pleasant dining experience. Great kitchen and wait staff. The food is excellent as is the selection of craft beers. The prices are very reasonable.

We were told by a family member that this would be a good choice for an informal high quality lunch or dinner. The family member was correct. We ate here twice during our six day visit to Asheville. Both times the food was consistently good and the service friendly and efficient, but not flawless. The menu was new to us... More

I am going to start this review by saying that I am a Tupelo Honey fan from way back. I used to drive two hours just to eat at the one downtown. I was estatic when I took a job in South Asheville and could eat at Tupelo Honey as often as I wanted. Until last night, I would have... More

Please accept my sincere apologies for this mix up in payment. I spoke with you that evening and assured you that the cost of the meal would be removed from the check. Unfortunately we use a POS system that will remove comped items from a guest check if it is split. I believe your server assumed that you were paying... More

If you enjoy food-flavorful, unusual, fresh, unique items, then this place is for you. The small plate pork egg rolls were delicious. The small plate wontons are a must. There were three in our group. We all ordered small plates and entrees. No one was disappointed. Wish I had one of these cafes closer to where I live

I visit Asheville multiple times throughout the year and have been to Tupelo Honey every visit. It always has been one of my favorites. My visit this time... not the same. Menu changed.. which is ok but prices are high for what you get and the options are very limited compared to the last menu. If you are going to... More

My mother, myself and my two teenagers ate at this location for the first time yesterday for Sunday Brunch. Thank goodness we had a reservation, because when we arrived the line was out the door in the pouring rain, with families huddled under the awnings outside in an attempt to stay dry. As it was, we were swept past the... More

This was our third trip to Asheville and our second trip to Tupelo Honey South. We had just rolled into town and this restaurant, and the terrific sesame tofu I'd had on the vegetable plate the first time around, was the only thing on my mind. We arrived early and were seated right away by the very friendly staff. Then... More

We had heard great things so we decided to give it a try for dinner. Well.... we were very disappointed. First, we were not expecting the prices we found, maybe the lunch menu is better? I had the burger and my friend had the chicken sandwich. Both were very average. The biscuits we were given were not hot, crumbled and... More

After eating at Tupelo Honey frequently since moving to Asheville, we are sad to see the character, service and food have changed so drastically. A simple request to chop a salad was met with, "No, they are not going to do that for you, we are too busy." followed by... " I checked and No, they are not going to... More
