My wife and I visited this restaurant for about the tenth time and had another very good experience. Today I had the blackened catfish: excellent; perfectly seasoned and grilled. The blackeyed peas were seasoned just right with a slight kick and the goat cheese grits were excellent. My wife had the fried chicken, which I tasted and found to be... More

We don't travel to Asheville without a trip to Tupelo Honey Cafe. We usually enjoy the south location. The wait isn't nearly as long as the downtown location, but the food is just as tasty. Whether with a large group (10 on this trip) or a small group, there is always something for everyone. We went for brunch. From the... More

Wow.. just wow. Is all i can say for this place. I actually made an account here just so I could tell people how horrid my experience was. I don't usually do reviews or things like that but it was so bad I felt I had to. First I waited 25 mins past my reservation time.. Then we waited 45... More

Your going to start with the best biscuit you have ever eaten. I had the black bean burger and it was crispy and full of bold flavors. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The wait was a little long but worth it. The staff was incredibly friendly. Once we were seated we got complementary biscuits and honey which were delicious. I ordered the "shoo-mercy" omelet. It was huge and more than enough food to split between two people. We also ordered the Queen Mary yellow bloody mary. I highly recommend it but it... More

An excellent twist on your typical brunch menu. Try the unique omelettes! They do have a bunch of merchandise they are lightly pushing, though no one will ask to purchase. It is only there visibly.

Every time I pass through Asheville, I eat at the Tupelo Honey Cafe. I LOVE the Brussels sprouts and the tomato soup. The drink specials on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are great too. I have had great service every time, though the one time I sat at the bar I found the server least friendly of all the other times.... More

I went with my family for my birthday for a special dinner. The atmosphere was great and the waitress could not have been more attentive! I ordered the tomato soup which was served and tasted like a can of Campbell's tomato soup. The salad was ok. No one in my party particularly enjoyed their entrees of seafood and chicken. They... Delicious home style food, very flavorful. But the entire menu is easily 10-20% overpriced for the environment and mediocre service. Another overpriced Asheville restaurant with good food but bland service. 4-5 stars for food 2-3 stars for price and service = 3 start.

My family has always loved Tupelo Honey downtown, but hated the wait to get into restaurant. We were very happy that Tupelo Honey South takes reservations. They got us in right on time and were very professional. Food was top notch as usual. I wish they had a few more breakfast items at dinner like the downtown branch (only had... More
