We have been here several times and never disappointed. It is a wonderful experience and great place to eat amazing food and people watch. The window tables are kind of an overflow or a just a place to cram a couple of extra seats but I enjoy them to watch all that it going on in Downtown Asheville. I like... More

We had our anniversary dinner tonight at Cúrate and as almost always had an excellent experience. We're were seated in the back "alcove," which we like because it's not so loud as the bar area. Everything we had, mostly our old favorites, were delicious. The only disappointment was the patatas bravas. I think Zambra (another Spanish tapas restaurant in Downtown... More

My husband and I made this our choice for dinner on our only night in Asheville, what a great pick! We had the lamb skewers, eggplant, meatballs, watermelon salad, and the chocolate mousse w/sorbet. I had the cocktail of the day that was also great. It was so fun trying to decide what to try next and each plate that... More

Be sure to make reservations. A Tapa style dining experience that was fabulous. Our party of 6 requested that our server "make us happy!" Loved everything he brought. The wait staff and menu will delight even the most discerning foodie in your group.

My wife & I had a late dinner scheduled due to still being full from our other 2 great meals of the day in Asheville. This was a perfect venue in that we didn't have to over-order food since all Tapas served are small plate items. Taking the advice of a great number of Tripadvisor critics, we ordered the eggplant... The choice of small plates was not only extensive but unique and tasty. The people at the table enjoyed the Sangria and the wines were good and reasonably priced. We were a table of ten but found the service attentive and prompt. The atmosphere was casual, warm and friendly. It is a perfect place for a couple or a group of... More

I think Curate is a victim of the hype and positive reviews. It is a fine restaurant. We enjoyed a nice lunch recently - the food is good, and the service is very good. But is it amazing? No. I grew up on homemade Spanish and Cuban food, and have visited both countries, and Curate is not nearly as good... More

I made reservations several weeks in advance since we had six people and there don't seem to be many tables for larger groups. The dishes are tapas, so the portions are small, sometimes too small to divide among six. The advantage of having six people though was we got to sample a small bite of a larger number of dishes.... Enjoyed our experience! Given that reservations are hard to come by, we opted to arrive around 5:30pm and sit at the bar. Had great conversation with the bartender; she kindly allowed us to taste a wine before ordering a bottle of Spanish blend. Recommend the eggplant/honey/seasalt & rosemary app plus the Moroccan lamb skewers and the cheese plate.

We have friends who live in Ashville and they know that Curate is a must stop for me. It is easily on the top of my restaurant list. The food is wonderful and the service could not be better. The small dishes make it possible to try several of the menu items and they are all delicious. The wine selection... More
