We went to Ashville to see the Biltmore Estates, which is marvelous. But, we were equally impressed with Curate, which features tapas. It is a happening place with a hyper atmosphere. We were there on a Saturday evening and had made a reservation a month in advance. Walk-ins had an hour or more to wait for a table. The great... More

I was lucky enough to sit at the bar and given a specially marked menu by the Chef de Cuisine showing what would be safe for me to eat. I had Octopus for the first time (which did, as promised, spoil me for all other octopus), the house cured olives...yum!, and the sauteed spinach. I got to watch all of... More

Best in small plates! Buy about three or four and share with someone. The drinks are good; try the sangria if they still have it.

We ate here after dropping children at camp and were blown away by the food. Our chef daughter accompanied us and we tried twelve tapas. She thought it was excellent. Try the mushrooms, the Pincho Morano (lamb) and don't miss the Brandada de Bacalao (potato pie). It was all so good though that I suggest you just point and you... More

We had a group of nine tennis players who shared an extraordinary meal of tapas at a large table -and the service and the food were over the top! Sometimes large groups get slower service, but we had exceptional, timely service, with no confusion about our orders. In addition, our server had a wonderful sense of humor and gave us... More

Curate has an extensive tapas and wine menu...the food is excellent as is the service. Seating can be take time; they are busy. I'd recommend you make a reservation. This can be an expensive outing....the small lamb skewers are $11; the Iberico ham is $21. If you have a limited budget, don't go hungry and pick from the less expensive... More

We were lucky to snag a reservation at Curate and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The charcuterie was outstanding and the rest of the meal that followed blew us away. For dessert they surprised us with this crispy chocolate creation that was crunchy yet melted in your mouth.

We were 1/2 hour late (the Garmin had 2.3 mile map error), but they easily accommodated us. The shrimp, the mussels and the white asparagus were to die for. Wine recommendation was excellent.
