One of our favorites in Asheville

Tried coming here a couple of times but the lines were long and parking can be a challenge. Finally made it though when visiting in April and we loved it so much we came back two days later. My wife and I loved the Shrimp and Grits and the Black Bean Tostadas. They have good outdoor seating... read more

Every time we visit Asheville we make sure to come to Sunny Point Cafe. You have to try the Cornmeal Hot Cakes with blackberry butter...DELICIOUS !!! We have enjoyed every meal we've had here. I had Shrimp & Grits & my daughter had the Mighty Good Chicken Sandwich at this visit.

Atmosphere is what Sunny Point Cafe is all about. Well, atmosphere and good, fresh food, which is what they're known for. The dining room is a covered, open air space which can be enclosed in inclement weather. A nice shaded patio serves as the waiting area. Be prepared for a wait - but at least it's a pleasant place to... More

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Asheville and Asheville has a ton of great restaurants. One of my favorite foods is Shrimp and Grits and Sunny Point's is among the very best. They give a big portion (I usually get two meals out of it) of creamy grits and wonderful grilled shrimp, seasoned to perfection. My... More

I have lived here for years and eaten at SunnyPoint many times. Good breakfast but I don't think it is worth the wait times.

I live in Asheville but don't go to West Asheville to eat (a little to quirky for the average resident on a regular basis)but had company in town (one a vegetarian) and knew they were known for good vegetarian dishes. Two of us had the chicken /waffle sandwich , which was very tasty--and frankly had bacon on it that was... More

Another good experience at the cafe. I wouldn't say it is out of this world. But it is good. Had the summer omelette. Great flavor. Good cheesy grits. Our server seemed less than enthusiastic about being there. And we told them we needed a table for two plus a dog. Not a small dog. But a medium size. They placed... More

Don't pass this by! Everything is fresh, the service is adorable. The sweet potato waffle with fresh fruit was perfect. Everything so digestible and fresh. Also try the homemade cola soda. Shrimp and grits were plentiful and one of the best we have had. Then take a walk in the most well tended garden out back. Parking was a bit... More

This is a great place to eat breakfast. I have tried just about everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. My only thing about this place is it has very limited parking, so if you go for breakfast arrive early to get a parking space and a table. If you are from out of town it a great... More

Fresh local ingredients lend to delicious flavorful food! Avoid the brunch line wait and go on a weekday! Friendly service and appropriate pricing. They have their own ingredients garden across from the parking lot where you can sit there and wait if need be, which is great for kids!
