I have been visiting Chai Pani nearly every other week since they opened and they consistently offer a meal which is nearly always at or above my expectations in terms of a quality dining experience. My favorite is fish wrap and also the non veg tali. Sometimes the chai tea might not be as hot as I like it but... More

I never knew that Indian food could be so good!! GO HERE! Service was excellent (they will take time to explain, answer any questions, and make suggestions), food was great ( my mouth is watering as I write this!). The chili cheese fries reminded me a bit of Cincinnati Chili (which is a taste I LOVE). I am glad we... More

I have been to India, England and Canada, and have had Indian food in all of these countries. The food at Chai Pani is close to the quality one gets in the countries mentioned above. Like all ethnic restaurants in the United States, there is an American twist to the dishes. Chai Pani is definitely unlike any of the numerous... More

We have eaten here twice and have been thrilled with the variety of flavors and freshness. A nice restaurant to visit while you're downtown. Just ask the staff for their recommendations and they won't steer you wrong. More

I love the street-food theme and the small appetizer portions, it allows you to try several different things. We had pakoras, bombay chili-cheese fries and somosas. Everything was great, with some decent "heat" and fresh herbs/spices. If you are looking for some flavorful Indian food, quick and cheap, this is the place. Wash it down with a King Fisher and... The recipes came from India, delivered by a fabulous Indian cook who taught the chefs how to make them. Come and taste this delicious food that gets rave reviews from travelers and natives alike. More

After reading a couple of the scathing reviews on Chai Pani I decided to offer my view on the place. I live in Charleston SC which is considered the mecca of the culinary world of the Southeast. Each time I visit Asheville, CP is my first stop to eat....after a couple pints at LAB of course! As Americans w ehtnic... More

Have never failed to like the dishes we've tried there. Also think it's a good value for the price. More
