As I am making it my mission to try all of the excellent cuisine of Asheville, I heard rave reviews about this restaurant. Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of Indian food... I don't mind a little curry now and then, but I am 41 years old and count on one hand the amount of... More

Everything we tried was awesome. The place is clean, staff is friendly. We always grab lunch here while in Asheville. Thanks!

Fun setting and menu, and happy service, and good food, make a good meal. We began with the fried green tomato pakoras, which were as good as any fried green tomatos I have had. Followed by the green mango chaat, which has a nice tart and acidic flavor to complement the butter chicken thali. My only complaints on the food... More

This is certainly more than a snack shop. Delish food! We shared 3 "street snacks". ( hint - this section is available in half portions). Lamb stopped fries, green mango salad, and a snack mixture ( first two offerings on street snacks). Incredible flavors and freshness. Wonderful staff too. Hear the bar accessible on Wall Street is really good too.... More

I remember when Chai Pan opened in Asheville several years ago. I can tell you, it has only gotten better as it has mellowed. Just like some garam masala simmering all day long in a pot on a back burner, the tastes here are the main reason to come. You will have to put up with a wait, noise, and... More

Stopped by for late night dinner with 2 other friends. The menu was a little different from regular Indian restaurant menus. We ordered four appetizers to split. Most were a very creative and good, from what seems to be a non-Indian staffed restaurant. We would all return for more.

Being big Indian food fans and even having been to India, we were so excited to dine here but unfortunately the food just didn't wow us as other reviewers have raved. The dishes are definitely interesting and they do a fantastic job of incorporating the Indian spices and heritage while blending American influences, but the flavors/taste just didn't impress us.... Best authentic Indian food I've had in NC. Service is friendly and knowledgeable and the dishes are creative and delicious. Right kind of food and portion for the price.
