Linguini with clams!

Most Italian restaurants never have this on the menu anymore so I was so happy to see it here. They make it three different ways, I chose the white wine, garlic sauce. It was so yummy! Tons of clams! The special bread they make is awesome too. My son got a large pizza & enjoyed it. Our waitress was... read more

We were visiting Asheville, N.C. and just happened upon Vinnie's Italian - so we tried it. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted with happy voices calling "welcome" to us. Liked that right off. The service was great not one complaint! Then our meal came - I had the Lasagna with a side order of spaghetti. Ate every bit... More

It's one of our most enjoyable visits to an independent restaurant. The food is well prepared, the servings are priced reasonably and the portions are generous. I continually order the lasagna, which is as good as any I've ever tasted. The bread that we get served is out-of-this-world! This marks our fifth or sixth visit there in the past two... More

I have good things to say about Vinnie's, but excuse me this ramble first, as some may find it helpful. How we ended up at Vinnie's: 35 minutes driving around downtown Asheville trying to find close enough parking to the place we had reservations, where no one answered the phone when we tried to call and cancel because we were... We have been visiting Asheville for over 22 years and love finding new places to dine. We are so lucky to have found Vinnie's on TripAdvisor and after reading all of the positive reviews, we decided to give it a try. Italian food is one of our favorites and after vacationing in Italy, we never dreamed we would find Italian... More

If you only have one meal in Asheville, Vinnie's is THE place to go - you will NOT be disappointed! We were immediately greeted the minute that we opened the door , and the service just got even better. I had the features cocktail (the Tomfoolery), and it was delightful. The fresh bread was perfectly crusty on the outside while... More

My wife and I were visiting Asheville and wanted to try a local restaurant flavor. We looked trip advisor and spotted the lasagna photo for Vinnie's and knew that it had to be a hit. We went early and sat right down on Thursday afternoon and noticed the place quickly filling up as we were having some salad and vino.... More

We were recommended here by a local - and it was packed with locals - always a good sign. Vinnie's is a neighborhood gem off the beaten path of Asheville. There were 4 of us, each ordering something different; not a bad dish among us. The portions were huge which was a delight since we all wanted to share. We... More

The food was amazing! Great service and atmosphere. We unfortunately had to sit at the door and nearly froze to death... but will definitely revisit when we're back in town!
