Absolutely best Italian anywhere

From the robust greeting, to using the authentic NY/NJ term "gravy" for spaghetti sauce.....the food and ambiance were spectacular. The spaghetti w Sunday gravy was unbelievable, the cheesecake just like my mother's...never had it so good outside my own kitchen. From a die hard NY foodie....you... read more

OK. Arrived at 9:25. Closing at 9:30. Impressed with that. Greeted us with open arms. Very friendly. Ordered calamari, had no taste or presentation. Entree was fair nothing to write home about.

Visited Vinnie's last week in Asheville, N.C. Our waitress Lisa Marie helped us navigate the menu and we were not disappointed. We had the daily special gnocchi for the appetizer, the greek salads, calamari and veal piccata. All dishes were amazing. The dishes were lighly prepared with lots of unique flavors. Heaven on earth. We were especially impressed with the... More

I'm going to start with 'the bottom line': If you have kids with you, go as early as possible and be prepared to wait much LONGER than you are told since 'breeders' are not welcome at Vinnie's. Here are the particulars of why I say that. We were on vacation, it was my birthday, and I wanted to find a... More

Vinnie's had us from hello. The moment we walked through the door we were greeted enthusiastically. The atmosphere reminds you of a NYC diner. Dark, intimate, busy, but very comfortable. The manager, Adam, spends time at each table making sure everything is wonderful. The servers are friendly and knowledgable and efficient. This place is family. Food is beautifully presented, flavorful,... More

Great Italian food! The service was great and the food was authentic Italian. The portions are large and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

We ate at vinnies twice during our month long stay in asheville. Both times it was delicious. The staff all welcome you when you walk in, everyone is super friendly and it's good home Italian cooking. I ate eggplant parm and my daughter penne ala vodka. The bread was great also.

Having been born and raised in NYC/LI of New York, in Italian households from restaurant families, we were ecstatic over the food and service at Vinnie's! Always a shout of "Welcome to Vinnie's!" from everyone as you enter, and real new york italian food! Just went for our weekly "fix" and can't say enough about the Fried Zucchini app, and... More

Had a great experience at Vinnie's while in town from Atlanta for a short birthday weekend. The service was amazing and the fried clams were a special treat. Good food, casual and friendly.

Mixed green salad was just OK. The chicken piccata was good but it needed more lemon juice. Others had lasagna, chicken Parmesan and veal Marsala. They liked these very much.
