Read all the reviews looking for the best Italian restaurant in Asheville and we found it! Four of us went and ordered all different things and they were all fantastic. Had the lasagna, eggplant, sunday gravy and veal.Claire was our server and she was so knowledgeable and friendly and fun. Absolutely delicious! The bread pudding dessert was beyond description. GO... We had a wonderful dinner at Vinnie's on Saturday night. I had the eggplant parmesan and my husband had spaghetti with Sunday gravy, both dishes recommended by our enthusiastic waiter Sean! Our waiter was accommodating and professional. We had the best dinner date at Vinnie's!

After a long day, a local suggested we try Vinnie's. We were not disappointed. This is off of the downtown beaten path in a neighborhood and very popular. I enjoyed mussels in a red italian sauce. Be sure to try the garlic knots. They were excellent. Magia and enjoy!

Ask for David! But everyone is friendly. The greek salad with grilled sea scallops was perfect. We ate here during our visit in 2013 and twice during our visit in 2014. Great food and great service away from tourist center.

Vinnie's is our "go to" for anything from a romantic evening, to a nice night out with our 11 year old boy. The food is ALWAYS amazing, and the prices are so approachable. We like to mix it up and try something new occasionally by ordering one of their creative specials. Sometimes I can't help but stick to favorite, Lasagna... More

First, ask for Casey. She knows how to pair the food that will make your night. My wife had the gluten free spaghetti and meat balls. She said it was the best she's ever had. I had the specialty pizza. All I remember is, I ate the entire pizza!

We visited here for dinner This past weekend on vacation. After reading all the reviews we were excited to dine at Vinnie's. Maybe it was an "off" night. I will say that the bartender was very knowledgable, and delivered excellent service! Once we were seated, things were not so great. Perhaps our waitress was trying to cover too many tables... More

Several years ago, the owner elected to transform his fine dining restaurant into neighborhood Italian...and it has become (justifiably) one of the most consistent 'go-to' restaurants in a city noted for food excellence. As other reviewers attest, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and anxious to please, the food is consistently good (with some of the dishes the best of what... More

Our innkeeper told us if we wanted Italian - good to "V" downtown Asheville. A local we met during the day said forget V go to Vinnie's - better food and prices that are much better. While I can't comment on the 'V" Vinnie's was excellent. The double baked lasagna was way too much for one person (we had no... More

Every dish we had was excellent. Best, they did an excellent job of serving it in true Italian style, splitting courses and serving them one at a time. Good value!
