A must-visit in West Asheville!

Great, all-vegan cafe located inside an indie bookstore. Excellent selection of loose leaf tea. Carefully curated book inventory. A must for anyone who loves books and tea.

This bookstore is a gem; it has a great variety of books for people with critical thinking. The cafe seemed to have a nice, quiet ambience. The staff was very friendly.

Fantastic atmosphere. The cupcakes and truffles were out of this world. The bookstore has a great selection and the workers were very helpful with recommendations.

This place is SO cool!! When this business rolled in only blocks from my house, I was so stoked! Not your typical bookstore. Amazing reading selection, Very welcoming environment! They also serve vegan food (another lovely perk), coffee, and a great unsweetened ice tea. Highly recommend for locals & visitors alike.

This place is simply great. The coffee / espresso and drinks are really delicious. The counter-culture book selection can't be found in one location anywhere. If you're in Asheville, enjoy quality coffee and want to support unique, local business - don't miss this stop. Try the Vanilla Affogato; double espresso with locally made vegan vanilla ice cream - yummy! The... More

Laid back and with a little grit. I get the feeling it operates like so many coops from back in the day...sometimes well and sometimes frustrating. This Friday morning it was a bit slow but worked for me. Cinnamon Cubano took a while but was well done. Bagel with cream cheese was hot and fresh although halfway through I remembered... More

Finding this place can be a challenge. It is around the back and underneath the Thirsty Monk which is on the corner of Patton Ave and Asheland Ave. They have alot going there best to check just to be sure.

This location is great. There is some parking in the back, a little in the front (free after 7pm), and there is a hilarious mix of people coming in and out the doors. If you like co-ops, worker collectives, political lit/signage, strange birds, cafe food, being a veg*n, or (like me) all of the above, this is an amazing place... More

This small establishment is interesting in many respects: It is owned and operated by the workers, offers a glimpse of Asheville's bohemian side, serves vegan food, and has an unusual collection of socially conscious books. The brewed coffee and teas are excellent. Fortunately for us, Firestorm is open until 10 PM. We visited on a Saturday evening when we could... More
