Pre Valentines Dinner

Ambience was nice. Loved the antler chandeliers. Some places in the restaurant were prettier than others.

Loved the coziness of this restaurant. The bread was some of the best we've had. Great menu with a variety of options.

We dined here on Valentine’s night while staying at the hotel. It was very nice I liked the décor very romantic and the food was very good. The had a nice selection of wines and bourbons. The service was decent he was new but he tried very hard and was very nice I’m sure with a little more experience he... More

I am a local in Asheville and have enjoyed this establishment since the opened. My sister even gave me a gift card for Christmas because I raved about it. Her $$ were poorly spent today. We decided to spend a cloudy, cold afternoon there at the Red Stag. Wine was good, beer warm and we ordered the bar food Don't... More

Overall our dinner was enjoyable but given the plethora of other excellent restaurants in Asheville I doubt we'll return. Food was quite good but the service was pretty poor. The backlit menus are really an annoying gimmick.

So, tonight Asheville is having an ice storm. I am staying at the Grand Bohemian, so I decided to try the restaurant because I don't want to venture outside. Two hours later, I've made it through the tasting menu and wine pairing (I didn't care for the last wine and the red velvet cake--too dry--but the crab cakes, beet salad,... More

I’m very sorry to hear the service you received in our lounge was not up to our standards. It sounds like we missed more than one of the standards that we hold so high. I sent you a message with the hopes that we could have met during your visit. I have shared your comments with our Food and Beverage... More

Good restaurant with some very unique dishes and a truly outstanding wait staff. The waiter was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful encountered in recent experience. I had Elk fillet, which I thought was outstanding, but my wife's fish, not so much so. Would suggest avoiding pureed vegetables, but deserts were outstanding. Very expensive, but unique.

My husband ordered the elk and I ordered the trout. While we've had incredible food experiences all over Europe, this ranks easily among the top 3 (if not #1) best meals we've ever had! Well worth every penny!

We stopped by the bar and had delicious hamburger and fries. Impressive service with a great atmosphere. This is great decor in a most unusual classy setting.

Red Stag Grill is an excellent restaurant. The food is incredible. The staff is excellent and very attentive. During our meal, the chef came to our table to talk with us. The menu is very diverse with options from soup and sandwiches to salads and steaks. Many of the items are purchased locally. The ambience is very masculine, and perfect... More
