Inventive. Sophisticated. Most importantly--delicious. Have been hearing about and trying to eat here for ages. Finally managed to plan enough ahead to get a res on this trip. Wow, is all I can say. I think anything you order on the menu is great but the shinning star is the bone in pork chops! I would have picked up the bone and eaten it clean if it was not so inappropriate. Don't let the looks of the property fool you. You will need reservations as they are always packed. We sat at the bar... More

The food was outstanding at this small, friendly funky place. It was the best meal we had in Asheville and the service was really friendly (in a good way).

Absolutely delicious from beginning to end. We ordered several small plates and larger plates to share with our group of 4 and all were incredible. Very creative, cooked well, great flavor profiles. The cocktails were amazing, too. It may not look like much from the outside but believe me, this place is not to be missed. One of the best... More

Outstanding food!!!! Once we found a parking place, everything else went up from there. Started with the watermelon salad and baguettes. Main course. Pork Chop with cheese grits. Best I have ever tasted ribeye steak with potato Also the very best.

I confess, when we pulled up I thought for sure we were in the wrong place. Even once inside I wasn't convinced I was in the right place. Never judge a book by its cover couldn't be more true about the Admiral. I REALLY enjoyed the yakatori sweet breads; I'd never had them grilled before. The crispy frog legs were... More

This place was crazy good. We jhad ust spent a few days in Atlanta eating our way through town and had some pretty good food, but this place....wooah. Got reservation for Wednesday night at noon same day and the only time available was 5:30 and 9:00. Since we skipped lunch we went for the 5:30 and ordered most everything on... More

This place looks like a dive on the outside but it's nice on the inside. Not fancy, kind of quirky, but nice enough. We really had a great meal and enjoyed some knock your socks off cocktails. We both ordered the signature Dark & Stormy. My wife's favorite drink and one that she has relatively high standards for. It was... More

You'd never just stop in for there's nothing on the outside that indicates what on the inside. Of course, if you just stopped in, you'd never get a table, for reservations must made weeks ahead. Even inside, the decor gives no hint of what's to come, for the the ten or so tables cramped against the bar are unremarkable. But... More
