Standard breakfast fare but prepared with more care than most. And I loved their house potatoes. Tasty, crunchy, well seasoned. Their omelets were good too. Not the French Laundry but the food was good and reasonably priced. We will come back.

Places like this used to be common 30 or 40 years ago, now they are a vanishing breed. That Five Points is thriving just a couple blocks from downtown makes it all the more remarkable. You won't get gourmet here, and the house salad I received was tired iceberg pre made, what you will get is good, friendly service, large... More

Great food! Classic Greek-owned, American-style working-class diner / restaurant. Nothing too fancy ... simply good food prepared well!

This is a real locals restaurant located right out of Asheville with free parking out front. The food is typical breakfast diner food, nothing fancy, but well done. My boyfriend had the omelet which was plentiful and delicious. I had two eggs over easy with grits. We also had potatoes. The short order cooks are efficient and in view. Diner... More

We don't usually eat breakfast out but yesterday was the day. We decided to try an off-the-beaten-track place that we'd been driving by for years. Now we're really sorry we didn't go earlier. The food was very tasty, with large portions and incredibly cheap. Service was friendly and efficient. At 8:45 on a Saturday morning we had to wait about... More

Great breakfasts, many specials offered w/ great prices. Counter and table seating, reasonable parking availability, just blocks from downtown. Active and bustling. Wait staff can get a little noisy talking among themselves and you will see their family members and friends come in and out. Sit at the counter and watch how well the short order cooks work together. One... More

I found the food to be as mediocre as the atmosphere. First restaurant I've been to in a while that doesn't serve Heinz ketchup, but instead an off-brand. One thing I'll say is that the service was amazing. I didn't have change for the bill and the waitress reached into her own pocket and handed over 30 cents.

I am a local that is retired, and I eat breakfast at 5 Points Restaurant 5 out of 7 days a week. The owner has retired, and the new owner will take some getting use to. He is still in training as to southern ways.
