Stopped by as we were driving by the restaurant and noticed that the parking lot was full, which is alway a good sign for a small neighborhood restaurant. Able to sit down immediately, waitress was extremely helpful and suggested some items. Had a Greek dish, and greek salad. Lots of great food and the price was extremely reasonable. Will go... More

Very good down home food, clean and great service. They now have air-conditioning, the new owner installed larger unit!! Go here every weekend and get their gravy-biscuits or lunch - hamburger!!

I was in town for a friend's birthday. We decided to go out for breakfast and she suggested we go to 5 Points. Even though my friend had never been (only lived in AVL for two years) it had been suggested by locals several times. It was a GREAT experience...starting with our gracious and hilarious server, Catherine to the yummy... More

The people who run this place are great and the service couldn't be better. But, the food -- at breakfast, at least -- was pretty mediocre. Breakfast is our favorite meal for eating out, and there are some excellent places around town to get it. This restaurant looks like the kind of old fashioned diner you'd find in a small... More

We have lived in Asheville for 15 years and own a local bed and breakfast. We have been coming to this local diner all that time. It is a treat to have someone fix breakfast for us and we return over and over to Five Points. I miss seeing "Mama" as I did in the old days but the welcome... More

Liked the ability to walk the majority of the Asheville downtown area. Liked alot of the local shops and attractions. Disliked the lines at the Biltmore - it's definatly not a walk at your own pace, and good luck finding an operating drug store downtown.

After reading good reviews -- we gave it a shot....twice! Many vegetarian options -- the spinach/feta omelet was really good. Great local diner -- welcoming, quick service, fresh coffee, and food made right in front of you. Loved it so much, we went there for breakfast two days in a row.

Just a minute the owner said he would make us breakfast if it was something simple. I replied, surprise us. He didn't let us down! As we waited we looked@the lunches being served Big hearty... More

I won't tell you how inexpensive it is or how big the servings are because it only has a few dozen seats and there seems to be a line whenever I go but it is the last of the family owned and operated greek diners. Several of the families now have bigger nicer locations but this is the original greasy... More
