I had the New York Strip Steak. Was told by the waiter that the beef was awesome as it came from beef raised on the estate and beef was the specialty of the restaurant. I didn't like the steak at all. The seasoning was too salty and the meat was tough. Nothing that I would expect from the $35... read more

I've had 2 glasses of wine but feel that I need to leave this review as we leave the restaurant. The good things first: Our waiter, Buddy, was awesome. Very attentive to our party of 8, very knowledgable and personable. Also, we were celebrating my father's 85th birthday and they did a beautiful presentation for his birthday dessert. That's it... We found our way to the Winery at the Biltmore on our last evening of spring break. In our traveling clothes and all, 3 of us had beyond a lovely meal that was not expected. Filet, roasted mushrooms, risotto. Creme brulee. All not to be missed. And we were treated as though we were well dressed and out for a... More

I was so disappointed by our server Mary when she frowned when we told her we were splitting a meal. This was not a good impression on my traveling companion who was visiting and staying on the property for the first time. We also ordered one drink $10 and an appetizer, so for a total bill of $75, I didn't... More

For a bar/bistro, menu provided many choices. The food was well prepared and accompanied by first class service.

The food was good, we went right after we toured the winery. Pleasant atmosphere. I expected the restaurant to be in the winery itself, it's just outside the property.

We dined at the Bistro twice during our recent visit to the Biltmore Estate. The first time, for lunch, we LOVED the "Grilled Chicken Salad" and the "Prosciutto & Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich". Definitely will want to have those again the next time. At dinner, my husband very much enjoyed the Risotto. I thought the "Almond Fried Brie" was pretty good.... More

Reports from both TripAdvisor and neighbors had us expecting a great experience. We were disappointed. My wife probably would have rated her meal "very good" (influenced by great fries). I was not pleased with my meal. The salad was excellent and the dressing very tasty. The bread was good as was the service. But my grilled chicken was nearly inedible--very... More

The visit it at the Biltmore was dimmed by the lunch at the Bistro though my lunch partner made up for what the Bistro lacked. The restaurant temperature was as cold as the staff temperment. The food was delicious but overpriced. I will go to Cedric s next visit.
