Description: Marco's Pizzeria continues the family business started in 1933 of cooking unparalleled New York-style pizza in two locations in Asheville, North Carolina. Marco's Great Uncle Patsy started the family's first pizzeria when he expanded the offerings of his ice cream parlor to include the uniquely New York-Italian dish. Patsy's Pizzeria in Harlem originally used a coal-fired oven to create a crust that is thin and crisp on the outside. Today, the fourth generation of pizza-makers in Marco's family continues to use Patsy's recipe and methods to create a dish that is unlike anything else available outside New York.

I visited Marco's while passing through Asheville in March. Being a born and raised New Yorker my expectations are very high. Marco's exceeded all of them. I ordered a Sausage and Meatball Pizza that was truly some of the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was incredible as was the fresh mozzarella and basil. You can't go wrong... More

We ate at Marco's on Hendersonville Rd. on a recent trip to Asheville. We chose the restaurant because we wanted pizza and read a review that mentioned that the readers of a local paper chose Marco's as the place to go in Asheville for pizza. We were not disappointed! The crust and sauce on our pie was excellent. I would... More

Hand tossed pizzas with real sliced buffalo mozzarella and all fresh ingredients. These are authentic New York style pies. We've tried them all and Marco's remains a favorite in Asheville.

Being born and raised in NYC, I have strong feelings about how a pie should taste. That said, I understand that even on the same block in the City, you'd have people with strong feelings about where to get the best slice. For me, it was Lenny's on Crossbay Boulevard. I can't get Lenny's anymore, so living in Canton NC... More

A great place for family and friends with great food. The Stromboli's are huge, savory and a welcome lunchtime favorite. Pizza is full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. A fun place for the family, group outing or just a place for a quick bite. Prices are reasonable and portion size will not leave you hungry. Great service and friendly... More

Love the Margarita with the fresh mozzarella. Service is always friendly. They always greet you and say thanks. Thin crust, very New York style.

The taste of the sauce is fabulous. We ordred 3 large pies for a bunch of people at the house, and all gave rave reviews.

My wife and I tried Marcos for the first time today and it was amazing. Since my wife is an Italian New Yorker she understands great pizza and she was very impressed. She said it was the closest thing to NY pizza she has had in the south. We drove an hour just to try it and it was worth... More

We go with a large Margarita pizza and I get a side salad with vinaigrette dressing. We place our order, grab our teas, and go sit down while Nick plays on Facebook and I check in on Facebook and Foursquare and get ready to add my recommendations to Stamped and Google Places. It doesn’t take long before my salad comes... More

My husband and I enjoyed a meatball and onion pizza. We shared a house salad (just your average salad). The location is in a strip mall so you have to kinda look for it. The waitress was friendly and accomodating. I would stop again for their great pizza.
