This is a pretty good German restaurant with a cool interior/atmosphere. The entrees are slightly pricey- my daughter got a "drunken chicken" dish that was approximately $20. However, my husband and I both tried authentic sausage dishes that were only about $10 and were great with beer. The service we had was just average but we did visit near closing... More

Our dinner experience was one of the highlights of a recent trip to Asheville. The food was excellent, surroundings warm and comfortable, and service couldn't have been better. Thanks Megan! We will definitely go again our next trip to the Asheville area.

Not much to look at from the road and the surrounding area may make you question your decision but the food was excellent! We had a large group and service wasn't as attentive as it could have been but it wasn't bad. They were serving antelope the night we were there and I ventured to try something I'd never had... More

Hands down the best German food around, plus a great selection of fab German beers, friendly, efficient service, all in a pleasantly kitschy Bavarian-style hunting lodge atmosphere. We had a great German-themed evening out! I highly recommend this place for dinner, or drinking, but preferably for some of both.

I work for a German company and travel there 1-2 per year. If you like German food, it is well worth the trip to Asheville, NC for this place. The food is exquisite, the service is exceptional and the beer is deliciosu. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. We make a point to hit this place on... More

If you know you're going at least 24 hours in advance, do yourself a favor and call for the special "KNUCKLE" dinner. You can feed yourself for 3 days on that one knuckle! The food is great, and the service good, in a quaint cottage. Go!

If you like German food and beer this is an authentic and excellent restaurant to visit! I have not experienced many authentic German dishes so I am on the fence about the overall taste. Great service from the staff and I love how the restaurant is decorated!

We stayed last weekend at the Log Cabin Motor Court, an original 1930s motor court nestled in the pine trees. Super cute! And what a surprise to find a traditional Bavarian restaurant on site!! Yummy smoked sausage made in-house and great schnitzel, weisswurst, spaetzel and wheat beer. The homemade bread was tremendous! The ceilings are low and cozy and the... More

A little off the beaten path, found this great restaurant by accident today. The décor is fun and rustic. The food is amazing. Everything we sampled was excellent, and had authentic German flavors.....right down to the beer. Service was above and beyond. Highly recommend - we will be back!
