Solid Lunch Spot

My wife and I had lunch here around 1:30. It was pretty quiet in there, but the food was tasty and the service good as well. We didn't get anything fancy and we didn't try any pastries or coffee drinks, but the meal itself was good. I had a turkey sandwich with bacon and it was good. The bread... read more

Picked up some sandwiches for a hike. I had the TAB and would order it again. My friend had the goodness and loved every bite. She would definitely have it again. We made good choices to eat after carrying them three hours up a mountain. The men had Reuben's and felt they would have been much better hot and not... More

There were 4 of us that went here for lunch. The bread is fresh and tasty. I am a vegetarian and had a wonderful sandwich with avocado , cheese and spinach. My sons had sandwiches with turkey and one a club.We enjoyed them. You can eat inside or out .I like the laid back atmosphere. It is very relaxing too.... More

While it took a rather long time to place the order (weekday lunch crowd), the food arrived fairly quickly thereafter. Their espresso was first rate and the dishes were simple but very fresh and well prepared. We had a fresh fruit parfait (blueberries, strawberries, yogurt and granola) and a cranberry/almond chicken salad. The pastries looked good but we didn't indulge... More

We stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn and passed this bakery every time we went anywhere in Asheville. On our way back home, we decided to stop here and grab breakfast to go. While I will say that we did wait longer than if we had stopped at McDonald's or something, the wait was worth it. The food was... More

If you're looking for a laid back, delicious stop in Asheville, this is your place! The sandwiches are made to order with freshly baked breads and the sweet delights from pastries to cookies are amazing. My only caution is, if you're in a hurry you might be disappointed. Because each lunch order is freshly prepared, the wait can feel a... More

They have a couple/three places in Asheville and another in Waynesville. We stayed across the street from their main place (aloft right downtown) and could see how much they were distributing all over the place - always a good sign for a bakery. Just a great place.

We stayed at a hotel across from the bakery and ate breakfast there every morning during our visit. The coffee was wonderful and we enjoyed the biscuit breakfast sandwiches. The service was a little slow but on vacation we were not in a hurry. We just enjoyed the street view windows a little longer.

Our family of 4 stopped here for breakfast while on vacation. Breads are fresh and tasty, staff friendly, and overall experience was a positive one.
