I can only speak to peach pie, rosemary rolls and chocolate raspberry cake...they were all awesome. Bought to take home. Service was good, friendly. Large portions, more than enough to share after dinner and with breakfast in the morning.

The cup cakes were average nothing to rave about. The coffe and chocolate drink were week and tasted of old ice. Would not go there again.

Went to this place on two of my four mornings in Asheville. The coffee is great, the food is really delicious, and it is fast and easy and casual!

We stayed at the Aloft hotel across the street and decided we wanted another less expensive option for breakfast. We started going to this place everyday. They have a small but nice menu for breakfast including their scallion biscuit sandwiches. Delish. Plenty of room, wifi and great location. Recommend.

I like this place for breakfast now and then. It is not my favorite bakery in AVL, but still quite good. You will also find their bread served at several other restaurants in town.

We're from out-of-town, passing through, and most of the "best breakfast" places didn't open until 9 on a Sunday, but City Bakery was open an hour earlier. We were lined up at 8am and enjoyed a perfect, buttery, fresh cheese biscuit with egg, cheese, and sausage, and some assorted pastries and coffee. We also grabbed a baguette for the ride.... More

At the end of a recent visit to Asheville, we stopped by City Bakery Cafe on Biltmore Ave.to grab take-out sandwiches to eat in the car on our drive home to Raleigh. We've eaten there before - mostly breakfast - and always liked the no-frills, tasty food the cafe serves. This time, however, we were less impressed. My "heirloom" tomato... More

My husband and I stopped by for breakfast and were happy we did. He started with a homemade strawberry granola bar, which he loved! I made special requests for my breakfast and everything was handled with a smile! I had a bowl with scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese. And it was really good and a nice size serving. My husband... Our group of six started our Asheville trip with a stop at City Bakery for a quick breakfast. We were clearly challenged by the selections and ended up ordering more than we could possibly eat. Everything was very good, coffee was hot and service was cheerful. City Bakery hit the spot.

Always enjoyed Charlotte Street location but first time at Biltmore Ave location. Chicken salad sandwich sent back due to minuscule contents. Reuben ordered without sauerkraut sent back because it had sauerkraut.
