Franklin's Gain, a Wonderful Lunch and Dinner Spot

I want to thank Cash's BBQ for being closed today because it led me to a great discovery. One which I'll be frequenting regularly from now on. They pulled in their winter hours sign, and on checking their message on their phone, it was goodby and moving to Franklin. I think their not serving until 6:00 in a remote location helped do them in. Sorry to see them go.

This was actually our second time dining here. We love the small quaint rooms and the relaxed atmosphere. The food once again was amazing. I enjoyed the "Stuffed Leg of Lamb" while my husband devoured the Gnocchi with Salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection and was paired with a delicious yet inexpensive wine. Be prepared to NOT be rushed out... More

This is not the first time that we have eaten at the Stone House Market. This was a really great meal. The NY Strip was more than we expected and was cooked to perfection and was served over potatoes and shitake mushrooms. The steak just melted in your mouth like butter. The homemade wide noodles with balsamic chicken was also... More

Having read the reviews and driven out of the way for this 'hidden gem' I have got to say it is not worth the bother. Service extremely slow but more importantly almost impossible to get the attention of 'Deb' (the owner)for anything. Appetizer of artichoke crostini extremely salty and served on balsamic laden soggy bread with over vinegared vegetables... Not... More

We've wanted to go to Stone House Market for quite a while and we finally went on a Friday night. Unfortunately we were disappointed. It's a cute place that seats about 25 people in two rooms. Service was very slow but we knew that going in so not a problem. Their very short wine list was bargain priced. Their bread... More

We had the mussels and then the lamb and bass. I would recommend both highly but the bass was melt in your mouth excellent. Go now!

Yes - the restaurant is eclectic, Yes- not fast . That's the point !!!! . Totally relaxing and not rushed. Last nite was our 20th wedding anniversary and we were delighted with our meal choices. (we always are) All prepared to perfection with a lovely presentation. Soft background music and no loud noises so easy to carry on a conversation... More

This unique and charming restaurant is set in a renovated stone gas station that seats approximately 30 people. It is run by Deb in the front of the house and her husband Dan in the kitchen. They do an incredible job! Deb is friendly, professional and attentive with a lot of sweet stories about how they ended up running this... More

Nothing spectacular, just good. I guess we expected too much because of all of the excellent ratings this restaurant received. We found the service friendly but a slow, the food was plentiful and tasty, but not exceptionally so. We are just vacationing in the area for a few weeks, but I doubt we will reurn to this restaurant.
