I'm writing this after completing a 3-week roadtrip so some of the details have left me but I do remember the fantastic BBQ, relaxed environment, and friendly service. I previously thought I'd had the best BBQ of my life in Memphis but now I think NC BBQ is my thing because I love the tangy sauce. I had a pulled... More

All of the locals encouraged us to go to this bbq joint ,as opposed to Moe's, and I can't help but wonder if it's just because it's locally owned and Moe's is a chain. Don't get me wrong. the food IS good, but just not worthy of all the raving, in my opinion. I had the pulled pork which was... More

Was there with a group and everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and thought it was very good. Got two sides the baked beans and the Jalapeno cheesy grits. Baked beans were okay but the grits were out of this world. Not to hot just a taste of the jalapeno. Staff was very nice.... More

My third visit and still the best each time. Close to airport so pilot fly in a great BBQ option. Kids and family friendly with a clean and modern BBQ style. The pork and brisket both insane. Love the sauces which give you the option of either hearty or vinegar with neither being a bad choice. No bones about it,... More

Okay food but would not go out of my way to get there. We would not go back. And, after spending 50$ on take out they charged me for plastic forks and napkins (2 each)... Really?

If you are visiting Asheville, no visit is complete without eating at 12Bones. 12Bones should be on your culinary "to do" list while you are visiting. Don't let the long lines turn you away, it sure is worth the wait. The BBQ is outstanding, and you get to pick your own sauce. Depending on how hungry you are, order the... More
