My Hotel recommended this place for country cooking. I had the dumplings and meatloaf combo and they both were dry the dumplings look like paste and had no flavor they need to taste every batch of food they cook before it goes out. The cafe was clean and the vegetable soup was good. Maybe it was a off night.

Went here before a family day out and as usual everything was great. They are always extremely busy but they are quick to seat you and serve you. The biscuits are amazing and my husband will even eat them and he doesn't like biscuits but he loves theirs. Food is always fresh and hot. Service is always good. This is... More

Home cooking at its finest. Homemade apple butter and biscuits are served while you're waiting for your main course. Then the entree is more than one person should eat in one sitting. Very casual atmosphere.

The food at the Moose Café is the best comfort food around by far. The menu is reasonably priced and the staff very friendly. If you are traveling I26 through Asheville, it is right off the interstate. The view from the larger dining room is beautiful. Well worth a visit.

We were looking for a good breakfast before her hit the road back home after a nice weekend in Asheville. Based on the reviews we went out of our way to try this restaurant out. The best decision ever! Stephanie was our hostess and Erica was our server. I had French toast and my husband had pancakes. They bring you... More

OKay, I don't even know where to start this experience except to say DON"T MISS IT. Their food was good southern cooking, but seemed home made. I just can't even tell you how our group raved over them. Also, we were in a large group and our service was spectacular. They also made us our own menus to accommodate prices... More

We were shocked with the Moose Cafe. Real country cooking ? The food we were served was not even close to fresh. Choose a restaurant that makes their food and doesn't serve frozen biscuits.
