Great food with mega portions!

Great homemade favorites with portions so big you can take home an equally large meal to savor later. Got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. So good! Loved the apple butter they gave you with the huge delicious biscuits. Everything here was super sized but with a very reasonable... read more

I had heard rave reviews about this place. I was really expecting it to be great. Being by a farmers market I thought it would be good fresh food but it is NOT!! I had the chicken and dumplings. It said they were homemade. They tasted like they were straight out of a can. The collards and mashed potatoes also... More

Poor service. Surley attitude. Restaurant was fairly empty, but we could not get a waitress to our table. I'll not go back.

We have been to the Moose Café several times over many years, & wanted to give it another try. We were terribly shocked when we were charged $7.00 for sharing two meals with our children. There was another child in our party & she was charged $3.50. When I asked at check out about these charges, I was shown a... More

When planning a day trip to Asheville, the Moose Café was high on our list of anticipated stops. And, it didn't disappoint. My husband and I arrived just after the large lunch crowd, so we were seated immediately. The waitress brought over two huge biscuits with a serving of the restaurant's apple butter. Having eaten there two months ago, we... More

Food was average, adequate, but not exciting. Could get this food almost anywhere. Service was very good with our server. She was very friendly and helpful. Environment was loud, tables are mostly packed into one room and close together. If you like moose heads on the walls, then you will probably like it.

Yes, sometimes the service is a bit slow, but the few out the back window of the Biltmore House makes it tolerable. Still enjot be called "honey" by the waitress. Order one of the meals with both eggs and the Moose cake and you will be full. Enjoy your biscuit and apple sauce or honey before your meal arrives. Maybe... More

We drove over an hour to experience the Moose Cafe. Our food was cold, the prices were high for the quality we received and the service was really apathetic. We waited about 10 minutes to get a refill on a drink. It must've been an off day because people rave about this place, but for the money we won't be... More

It has always been; the food that is served in a particular geographical area, takes on the heritage of that area. If this is so, why did this food taste so bad, Is there something horrible in the kitchen? We may never know. With the restaurant in walking distance to the WNC Farmers Market, the quality should be above and beyond... More
