It took 5 minutes until someone noticed we were there to be seated. The waitress did not want to be there. The food was terrible. We showed up at 7:45 apparently they were closing at 8. No hours were listed but you could tell the workers were ready to leave.

Our first night in the South we decided for try the local fare at the Moose Cafe. I dined her with family for lunch. Food was okay, nothing outstanding. What had me concerned was the sanitation score of 91!!! Why so low??? Didn't see it till we were almost done eating as it is by the exit door!

This restaurant is next door to the farmer's market. The food is homemade and fresh. Family owned. They have a 2nd location in Hendersonville. This location is a lot better than the H'ville store.

Cozy, good value, good food. Large portions. Love the biscuits and jam! Clean. Fried chicken was tasty! They need a bigger sign out front, though.,

Good food, lots of it and the price is right. I had the liver and onions and it was soooo good. You won't leave hungry. Service is excellent, staff friendly...A must stop if you want some country cooking.

The Moose Cafe is the definition of southern. This was our second time there. Excellent biscuits are served while you wait for your selection of true southern classics. My wife had the fried trout and it was very good. I had the pulled pork that is smoked on site, it was delicious. The side dishes I had were just OK... More

This is a great restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Everything was delicious, except the blackberry pie, I think I had one blackberry in my pie, it was mostly blackberry paste. The ice cream on it was great. The price was very affordable.
