Country cooking at its best!

Located next to the Farmer's Market. The portions are good size and for the money you can't eat better. Be sure to try the buttermilk fried chicken and leave room for the blackberry cobbler. We share an order with ice cream - the best!

My family and I decided to eat here based on the strength of other TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! The food was wonderful. We fed three children (ages 10, 7 and 4) and my wife and I five people for a total of $46.46. There was more food than any of us could eat and everyone enjoyed their meals.

This place was yummy! My daughter's blueberry pancake had whole fresh blueberries in it. My meal was served with fresh whole strawberries as the fruit, which was a welcome sight, as most places use plain old canteloupe or honeydew as the fruit. As you can tell, I enjoyed the fruit aspects of our meal. Oh, and the bacon. It was... More

Last week we had a delightful lunch at the Moose Café near the NC Farmers’ Market – Asheville. The service was excellent and our server, Lucinda (or Lucy) was extra gracious. The food was prepared just right and the serving size was huge (we both took home large boxes). The only suggestion I would make for the restaurant would be... More

My husband and I had a very enjoyable experience. The food was good and both servers were great. Everyone working at the establishment were very friendly and always smiling. They even thoroughly answered our questions about the area. We will definitely be going back.

Ate lunch on March 30, 2015. I ordered chicken and dumplins and mashed potatoes. Both tasted like they had no seasoning at all. I think the mashed potatoes were just potatoes that had been mashed and served. Also had upset stomach for a couple of days after this

The food was exceptional. Homemade biscuits were heavenly! Filling, but heavenly. The prices are reasonable and they offer an all you can eat "family style" breakfast that you can not find anywhere else. The service and atmosphere were very inviting.

After finding out this was featured in Southern Living magazine, we stopped here while traveling I26. It was good, not as seasoned as deep south food but everyone enjoyed their meal. Biscuits are huge & the molasses on the table tasted like a honey molasses. If we are in the area again we would go back...appears to be a locals... More

Nothing special. Food was average. Service was okay. The one thing that was unpleasant was when we were leaving, an employee was cleaning the foyer with very strong smelling cleaning solution. If, we had walked in while she was cleaning, we would not have stayed. Simply, that kind of cleaning needs to happen after the last customer leave the establishment

Disappointed that they don't serve breakfast after 11am, we ordered lunch, and were immediately served the best biscuits EVER! Warm, moist, flaky, air bubbles inside, mmmmmm! I ordered Michelle's chicken salad, which was smooth and tasty, but unremarkable (no grapes, nuts, or cranberries, which I like.) It came with two sides, my choices were pickled beets (yum) and coleslaw, which... More
