Best place for breakfast in the valley!

I positively love the W. I eat here at least twice a week; the food is always tasty and prepared to order. If you walk out of the place hungry, it is definitely your own fault, as the portions are generous. The prices are typical for Gunnison, expect to spend $10-$15 per person. They are only open... read more

Bring an appetite and step back in time to chicken fried steak and the best restaurant biscuits I have had. This is a place for a diner breakfast.

We ate breakfast here on our way out of town. Despite the great reviews, we did not enjoy our breakfast. My husband had biscuits and gravy - there wasn't a lot of flavor to the gravy. My omelet was not hot and had a rubbery texture. The hash browns tasted like grease and were not well seasoned. The service was... More

Waited for a table, but then it was Spring Break, and the other place down the street wasn't open. We ordered a breakfast burrito and a skillet dish, we were enjoying breakfast. Each was very tasty. Hey, the din in this place, meaning the noise, is quite high, so don't go there to propose to someone... And don't get lost... More

Large portions, freshly prepared, great service. No maple syrup but everything else was yummy. Very good home fries and hash browns.

Whenever we visit Gunnison/Crested Butte CO,we make sure to have brealfast here. This is THE PLACE where locals gather for great food friendly service. We usually check our bags at the airport and go there for a special breakfast to top off our ski trip

It's not much to look at and the seats have rips in them but the food is tasty and the coffee is hot. Both my husband and I ordered the huevos with pork green chile with a side of potatoes. It was delicious and well prepared. The service was kind and friendly and they knew the locals by 1st name.... More

We found ourselves in Gunnison recently during a drive across Colorado and for a stop to more or less "stretch our legs" in the middle of a long day's drive, we parked in the wide-streeted downtown area and strolled around a bit. After a few minutes, we came upon the W Cafe and popped in for a coffee. Well, after... More
