Admittedly there is a great deal of nostalgia wrapped up in the W Cafe for anyone who went to Western State in the past several decades, as we did. HOWEVER, it is a spot not to be missed for newbies and veterans alike. The food is lovingly cooked and served. Warning, though: Be Hungry. That or get a to-go box... More

Been to the W several times and the food is always delicious. There is usually a wait on the weekends, but it's worth waiting for if you're in the mood for breakfast. Great eggs, hash browns and french toast!

I grew up in a small town and my first job was in a small cafe. This places makes me feel like I'm home. The food is good, the servoice is friendly and the portions are more than generous, all for an excellent price.

Heading east to Denver this morning, we waited for breakfast until we got to Gunnison, and I was so glad we did. We got there just before opening, and waited on the sidewalk until they opened the door (although a couple of locals just walked in and sat down). Coffee arrived with our menus, and our waitress never needed to... More

The W is a old style cafe. They serve good food, especially breakfast, in a friendly, bustling atmosphere. The portions are large and excellent. The wait staff is exoerienced and they and the kitchen will try to accommodate your requests. They are always willing to prepare half of an order if you want less to eat. The W is open... More
