We had breakfast here - biscuits and gravy although it really should called biscuit and gravy. Plural are additional $$$. Our waitress was not very friendly and didn't seem to like be questioned about the menu. Overall it was pretty vanilla but hey it was breakfast.

Have been coming to the W for many many years. My grandparents used to bring me when I was a teenage and I'm on past six eecades. I don't think they have changed anything except the waitresses. Great comfort food in a quaint down home cafe, frequented by locals. The entire menu is available all day. If you enjoy local... More

I am talking about real blueberries about 1/2" in diameter filled throughout a pancake that is drooping over the sides of the plate. So good, had breakfast at this place 3 days in a row! Friendly service each time with different wait staff. Yes the other breakfast items, bacon and eggs, were good too.

I am a biscuit snob and my husband is a French Toast super fan. W scored a ten on both these items. Staff was friendly. Good size portions. Locals do eat here so you might have a short wait but the staff turns an empty table around quickly.

Average food wih generous portions friendly staff and interior from your grandmas house. This place is a little hole-in-the-wall Dinner but it's great for breakfast. Just avoid the large wait on weekend mornings.

The W is a classic, nothing more, nothing less. It's a perfect breakfast dive in a perfect Colorado mountain town, with excellent everything. You want fancy, wrong place. You want friendly, good food, great family service...this be it!

In our previous trips to downtown Gunnison we had not noticed this cafe, but it has apparently been around a long time and all the locals know about it. It was recommended to us by our son who had gone online and found that it was highly rated in Gunnison. It was as advertised. Friendly service and very large portions.... More

This place fills up on the weekends, but in my opinion, it's only for lack of competition. The prices are pretty high for average breakfast food.
