I almost hesitate to write this review as our group had a broad range of opinions on the restaurant. I was the lone "like" but as the Mom, my opinion should hold some weight, shouldn't it? The favorable: The mixed chicken & steak fajitas were flavored with a marinade or rub before grilling which gave them a unique and tasty... More

Traveling with 5 adults (not petite) we asked to be seated at a table. The server immediately pulled a small table up to the end of a booth and asked if that would work. I said no and so he wanted to seat us outside. It was clearly raining. He told me that was all he could do. Not to... More

This is a fairly simple Mexican restaurant in a southwestern Colorado town. One would expect to eat simple straightforward mexican cuisine, but that is not the case. The restaurant tries to be a little too cute with its food, and the food suffers. A case in point is the ground beef tacos, which should be a pretty simple dish. The... More

The food tasted more like real Mexican food than Tex-Mex. The prices were very reasonable. It's a very nice place to eat.

Traveling thru gunnison on a Sunday. This was one of the only restaurants that was open. It was pretty busy (Father's Day). Seated quickly and the staff was very attentive. Free Tequila shot for all Father's. Food was good and so was their margaritas. Had the combo fajitas--shrimp, chicken and beef. Shrimp was the best of the 3. They had... More

We had a party of 10 and the wait staff and hostess provided excellent service. Upon arrival, they had a table set with water and chips for our large group of 10. It's tight, but that's the way it is. Baskets of chips were full and drinks were never empty. I had Pollo mole, and it was really good. I... More

We chose to eat here because of their great outdoor patio, but found they had an extensive menu and good service. I ordered the avacado omelet and wasn't disappointed. They have a full bar and good salsa. Expect to spend about $10 per entree.

Every time we visit Gunnison, this place is a must. Friendly service and excellent food. We enjoy sitting outside munching on their chips and salsa while sipping on a drink. There seafood dishes are tasty. I'm thinking about the butterfly shrimp and garlic sauce.

From the incredibly pleasant staff to the obviously fresh ingredients, this place tops my list for Mexican cuisine in Gunnison. It's located just south of the main intersection, where Highway 50 meets the highway to Crested Butte, Hwy 135. The family who own this restaurant seem to always have one or two family members there to greet and tend to... More

El parasio is my favorite Mexican restaurant in gunnison, though ive never been to the Mexican restaurant across the street from el parasio which is also supposed to be good. I've always had a friendly attentive server and delicious food, I've even found myself order fajitas to pickup and bring home! A little pricey but not too bad, good huge... More
