Good service

Very friendly service and the food was good also, though it was quite a bit more expensive than similar Mexican restaurants. The seating is limited, so we were glad we got there early. There is also a patio area but it was too cold to sit there.

The people here have so much love in their hearts, and they have great food. If you are ever having a bad day, go to El Paraiso, the food will please your stomach, and the people will warm your heart. Best Mexican food around, with many options. We go here every time we eat out, and never regret it. The... More

Overall, a solid dinner but can't say it was great. Started with queso that was real cheese vice melted... With green chiles so it was the best part. Son had cheese enchilada plate that he really like. Wife and I split fajitas for one (and it was enough for two after the queso and chips). Meat was middle of the... More

Returned one last time to see if things improved in the quieter season. I agree with another reviewer who wrote that she feels like she's in Mexico when eating here. I feel like I am in Juarez, where fleecing the "gringos" is standard practice. They are still stingy with their portions, and overpriced. they have raised their prices twice in... More

We have been gracious enough to give this place multiple times to impress us. They have failed dismally. Each time we visited, the food portions got smaller, the quality degenerated and the prices went up. It appears the owner's try to impress out of towners with decent service the first time or two, then after they feel they've "got you",... More

The food is real Mexican food, and the lady that host/serve is very friendly. It's a beautiful place that makes you feel like if you are in Mexico.

Went on a busy Friday night and sat at the bar. The house is pretty small and the rooms are little nooks here and there but there is a big patio out front and along the side that may be connected to the patio in the back yard. Patio diners seemed to be having a good time. I don't recall... More

I now know why this restaurant is rated 14th in Gunnison! My wife and I have eaten in many Mexican restaurants in many cities. This meal was by far the worst we've ever had. Based on previous Mexican restaurant dining experiences, the portion sizes are often too large for one person so we decided to share a Chimichanga dinner. When... More

Great appetizers and beer. Had steak quesadias. Happy hour beer is only $2.50 for all brands. I had my favorite Ultra. Good patio seating near the road.

Stopped on drive to Delta, Co for lunch. I had the chimi lunch special. It was crispy with a nice amount of chicken and good beans on the side. I am not a rice fan so will not review that. The salsa served with the chips was very good - enough heat to be extra tasty. My husband ordered the... More
