Very friendly service and a diverse menu. The environment is very comfortable and the patio is excellent.

Food was just OK, not great. And, the service was very poor. Asked for some salsa, never got it. Had to wait forever for the bill.We were in Gunnison for 1 week and we didn't go back.
The guys down here cook up good Mexican food and provide stellar customer service. Everyone is treated as a regular and the margaritas are great. I've gotten fish tacos and burritos, and they were all very satisfying
Definitely good margaritas. Food is pretty bland. You need to ask for h sauce, salsa & etc to give the food some pizazz. Service is terriific but it doesn't make up for the plain Mexican food. Md because the outside dining area is great, by peaceful on the evening.
We happened to pass by this pleasant looking Mexican restaurant while looking for something Italien. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and the chips and salsa we're ok. The menu is typical Mexican-American with a couple of house specials. The service was quick and accurate, but there was nothing special about the food. That is, except for the dessert.
The sopapillas are ight and airy and tasty and served with just the right amoubt of sugar, cinammon and honey. They only cost $1.50 each, so my suggestion is...

There aren't a lot of restaurants in Gunnison that we go to but we keep going back to El Paraiso b/c the food is consistently good, the staff is awesome, and in the summer they have a great outdoor seating area. Its not too expensive and they have great drink specials during happy hour.
There is a plethora of Mexican restaurants in Gunnison, and we visited several. However, we found this one to be the standout in terms of food quality, and especially pricing and service. Reynoldo was outstanding!
This was an "okay" Mexican Restaurant. I've certainly had better, but this is pretty good for a mountain town. I would eat here again, but it's nothing to write home about. Pretty generic menu.
