The only place

Although this was the only place to eat, it was good. They had lots of choices and the prices were not too bad. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was good.

They could easily gouge you or take advantage of being the only restaurant within a 2-hour drive but they DON'T! Reasonable prices, good food and very friendly staff. Crowded during Spring Break so be prepared to wait if going that time of year.

The views are phenomenal but the menu was a tad on the pricey side. The food and service were good though.

I was visiting Big Bend with several family members and my godson, and ate here twice, being as it's the only place to eat in the park. the first time, the only complaint i had was that the dining room felt like a sauna, despite the relatively moderate temperatures outdoors. i had the turkey burger and it was good, but... Good food, good service, but what makes this place special is the view. This has to be one of the greatest views I've enjoyed while eating dinner EVER. One other guy in the group said he's only seen one place with a better view, in South Africa. I had the Poco Caliente burger, and it was just a little hot,... More

This is a beautiful restaurant in the Chisos Mountains with an astonishing view. They do have to run the bears and mountains lions off every once in awhile ;) The food was excellent and the prices were better than the little cafes in Study Butte Terlingua. Don't miss this if you are near Big Bend National Park.

The food was very bad. The guy who served us was great. The view is outstanding. We had a group and everyone stated th same. Food was bad and service was great. Parking was full but of course it was Spring Break and it is apparent this was a big attraction area because of the views.

One of the most uninspired restaurants I've ever dined at. Was here 15 years ago, didn't like it then, and nothing has improved. It is a national park concession so this place has no competition at all within 30 miles or so, and it shows. The food is like school cafeteria grub. Hamburgers are thin super well done with the... We ate dinner and breakfast here. We had several different dishes for dinner; all were good. For breakfast, we had the breakfast buffet, and it was also good. Especially considering that it is the only restaurant for miles around, the food, service and value are all good. The scenic view of the Window is outstanding.

I have eaten in many national park restaurants and this was the worst! My husband ordered the rib eye..most expensive item on the menu...it was thin, medium well (he asked for rare) and tough. I ordered the pork medallions which were ok. Both came with the mushiest asparagus and tomato combo I have ever seen. I have been here before... More
