A Wide selection of Freshly Prepared Food

The selections were excellent and our waiters on all three nights were very helpful in their recommendations on options. The food was well prepared and the servings were ample.

This is the only restaurant in the basin, but they try hard to serve quality food. As with many national parks concessions, the waiters are from all over and all ours were very good. The view from the dining room is awesome.

We just returned from another great trip to Big Bend with our four kids. The service at the restaurant was amazing--all very attentive, pleasant, & helpful. I just wish the caliber of the food was on par with excellent service we received. The menus are written well & definitely whet your appetite. The 1st night we had the salmon &... More

The location is clearly the USP for this restaurant. We stopped by for some sustenance after a longish hike, and the food was good, but took some time. I would particularly recommend the Jalapeno poppers.

We had dinner at the Park and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The waitress was funny, attentive and helpful. The tacos, burgers, chicken fried steak and lasagna were all delicious at a reasonable price. We will be back soon!

Ordered the ribeye steak, and the waiter kindly let me have salad from the salad bar with it, instead of mashed potatoes and veggies. Delicious meal, washed down with a nice local beer. The restaurant was pretty full but it was nice and quiet; very conducive to talking with fellow guests about the wonderful day's experiences. A great place to... More

Since the Restaurant is located at the Chisos Basin and near the lodge, our expectations were that it would be expensive, bland food and poor service. However, we were completely surprised. The food was very good (hamburgers are cook outside on a grill), the price was not really that high and the service was outstanding. We were very happy that... More

There is a huge picture window overlooking the Window geologic formation and it faces west to catch the sunset. The menu has variety and I was able to find some vegetarian choices. There is a breakfast buffet and a salad bar is available for dinner. There is a menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can select items from... More

The restaurant is right next to the mountain lodge and is probably the best thing guests of the lodge get. We didn't stay at the lodge but ate lunch one day after a hike in the mountains area. The food was OK - the buffet was expensive but they give you an option of just the salad bar and no... More

We ate here 4 nights in a row, that answers how we liked it. Not a 5 star restaurant, but everything we had was very good. The prices were fair for the location and what they served. My favorites are the flat iron steak - great flavor and perfectly cooked, then the 3 meat pasta - order only if you... More
