I didnt enjoy my green enchiladas but the appetizer (onion & jalapenos), the Big Bend Beer from Alpine, TX and the dessert made up for it. Beautiful views , the Gift shop had nice things but it was overpriced. One item we considered was a handstiched pillow that showed the cities around Big Bend but it was listed at $150.00... More

Not fancy but the only restaurant around and actuall pretty good. Beautiful drive to get to. Very narrow road and hope you do not meet any RV's along the way.

As the only choice in the area, we decided to try dinner at the restaurant, and were not disappointed. The menu was good, given the remoteness, and there was something for everyone. On the first night we (as a family) enjoyed burgers(with brioche buns and blue cheese) tacos and chicken fried chicken. All meals were devoured and enjoyed, and were... More

I spent nearly USD 20 on a simple plate of salad, soft drink , tax and tip. This makes for an expensive lunch, but the restaurant has large windows affording a great view of the surrounding countryside. There are also few alternative options for eating in the park.

We had dinner and breakfast at this restaurant and were happy with the food served. One of us in the party preferred vegetarian and there were a couple of good options available. The food was delicious.

We ate at the restaurant each evening after long days of hiking. The wait staff was wonderful and the food good. Had the salad bar one evening, chicken fried steak the next, and a hamburger & nachos the last evening. All very good.

The buffet was cold for breakfast and we were there early when it should have still been warm. In the summer, it is the only restaurant open in the park so we had to eat there.

We were pretty hungry once we got here so we would of eaten anything. Food was actually pretty good, and we ordered 2 shakes to go as well and those were good too. Service was also good, as well as being fast. Pretty awesome views too.

We had breakfast here since we stayed in the Chisos Mountain Lodge Motel. The food was the standard overpriced and heavy buffet-type food. One thing that made our breakfast also particularly distasteful was the fact that they stripping the nearby bar with turpentine while we were eating which produced noxious fumes and gave me a headache. Seriously - wait until... More

We went to Big bend around the 4th of July 2014 and fully expected to have mediocre food. But we were pleasantly surprised at the dinners we ate at the lodge. Among the 3 of us we tried different dishes. They were all great. The following dinners are highly recommended; flat iron stake(medium), chicken fried steak and the taco plate.... More
