This restaurant has closed its doors around November 20, 2013. Don't know what will happen in the future.

This is worth the visit just for the sop papilla. They are like little clouds with honey drizzled over them. Their chicken tortilla soup was very good. You have to make it to the restaurant before 2 as they are closed 2-5pm. (Like most of the restaurants in Los Alamos.)

Not the best place for New Mexican food, but not bad and convenient to the hotel. Unfortunately, the best dining is in Santa Fe, about 40 minutes away.

Not our favorite place but not bad - closed from 2-5 as are most restaurants in Los Alamos so don't miss the lunch hour. Great quesadilla but how can you mess that up? Chicken tortilla soup was very tasty but taco platter was just very average. Place has been there a long time but could use some updating. Service was... More

We have been here many times, but it seems to be going down hill. I ordered a tilapia which was supposed to be crusted. The waitress came back and told me it wouldn't be crusted. I OK's this - this can happen anywhere. The trouble is that the tilapia I got was tasteless. Fish needs to be prepared by someone... More

De Colores has been a part of Los Alamos for as long as I can remember. Decent variety on the menu, food is always consistent. Great for large groups.

De Colores is an old stand-by in Los Alamos, having been operated by the same family (although not in the same location) for over thirty years. Some years back they moved into their current location, which had been previously operated by another New Mexican restaurant family (the late, lamented "Philomena's"). The marriage of operator and facility has by and large... More

My wife and I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Had to wait 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order even though she quickly waited on other patrons who came in AFTER we arrived. It's nice to see other people had a pleasurable experience. She finally took our order and after waiting 45 minutes,... More

One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Always friendly, welcomes families. Authentic cuisine of Northern New Mexico. But a warning to the "gringos" not used to chiles: the green can be hot. To be on the safe side, order it "on the side."
