Disappointed.

I asked if they could do a specialty roll and the waitress said yes. I ordered the sunshine roll but I wanted a spicy crunchy topping. This was a take out order. There was no topping at all and the pieces should have been cut more evenly. For the price they charge for one roll I expected better.

We were excited to eat here during our stay in Moab. We made sure to arrive a few minutes before opening on a Wednesday to ensure we got seated during half-price sushi time. It was a little bit of a letdown when the special only applied to a portion of the sushi menu. We ordered a couple of shrimp tempura... More

We were a bit skeptical about the quality of the fresh fish all the way out in the desert of Utah, but were reassured by the statement on their website that the fish is flown in daily from Hawaii (along with several positive TA reviews). When we arrived at the restaurant, Sabaku Sushi turned out to be one of the... More

Okay, I am always suspicious of sushi when the ocean is more than 30 minutes away. But these guys have truly fine, fresh fish, and have taken it to an unusual place, blending good Japanese with Moab style. Surf n Turf is a roll that features venison. Yeah. Venison. Sounds a tad weird, but try it. Your tastebuds wll thank... More

Every time we get to Moab, the first thing we want is Sabaku. Don't miss the agedashi tofu appetizer, the La Sal and Hidden Valley rolls, and the purple haze to drink! Great atmosphere, fresh well-made rolls, and excellent service. Love you Sabaku!

This has gotta be one of the best sushi places EVER. Really fresh fish and interesting dishes and combinations. My favorite is the La Sal roll, a special roll. The servers are really nice too.

A solid sushi restaurant in the middle of the desert: Who would imagine? Moab's hot dinner scene with locals and tourists. Fun happy hour sushi bargains. Can be crowded and when very busy it is sometimes slow. No reservations for parties under 6.

The elk sushi was great, I think it was a nightly special. I wish we could have gone back for a second dinner. It's a very small space, however we got there early and they were able to accommodate over party of 7.

I can't recommend this restaurant highly effort. Sushi in the middle of a landlocked town could be a risk but I can honestly say this is the best Japanese I have eaten outside of Japan. The lovely English Sallie looked after us and not only knew the menu back to front but was a wealth of local knowledge, that our... More

I wasn't expecting great sushi in Moab, but Sabaku is really good. Three of us shared several rolls and loved each one. The staff were super friendly and gave us great recommendations. A nice change from pizza joints and pub fare...well done!
