Went in as there seemed to be a full house every night despite not being high season here in Moab. What a surprice! Small intimate place with about 10 seats at the bar in addition to tables. We sat at the bar and ordered our dushi directly from the sushi chef. Excellent sushi (nigri). Good selection of nigri and a... More

This is our 3rd visit to Moab and our 3rd visit to Sabaku! It's my favorite sushi restaurant ever. The Agadashi Tofu is unbeatable. I've had it other places and no one compares. My son ordered chef's choice roll and loved that it was topped with elk. I ordered the Devil's Garden roll with tempura shrimp and pineapple habanero salsa... More

We were there past 9:30pm on a weekday night and to their credit, we were gladly welcomed even though the 'Closed' sign was on the door. We did not order sushi but instead ordered yaki udon and seared salmon. We are happy to report that both dishes were wonderfully done in terms of presentation and taste. While we found both... More

As a bi coastal New Yorker and San Franciscan, we are used to very good Japanese and are hesitant about eating at non coastal sushi restaurants. We saw on Yelp and Trip Advisor the very favorable reviews for Sabaku Sushi and thought to give it a try. We are very glad we did. The rolls were flavorful and interesting and... More

Good sushi. Lots of different variety. The sushi chefs had some nice, creative rolls with locally inspired names.

We were here on a Sunday night (not usually the best night for sushi) and the fish was fresh as could be. The service was prompt, casual and friendly. There was a hot soup spill incident at the table next to us and the staff was super courteous to the family and the little boy. We had both traditional sushi... More

We went every evening of our stay in Moab. Our waitress (Rikki?) was absolutely great, remembering after the first night our preferences, bringing us our orders quickly and making sure the were how we wanted them. They have a different special every night and we loved them. The fish was very fresh and tasty. Good value as well. Fab place... More

We enjoyed our dinner at Sabaku. The restaurant did an admirable job with traditional sushi. We tried three maki - tuna, salmon, and yellowtail - and all three were very good and reasonably priced. Even better, Tuesday through Thursday, sushi is half-priced between 5 and 6. But beware, the restaurant was crowded and quite noisy when we arrived. (Alas, we... More

I live a few hours from Moab, and it's hard to find great sushi all the way out here. I feel like I've tried every sushi place within a 300 mile radius of where I live and nothing has ever really dazzled me until this. From the refreshing cocktail selection to the specialty rolls, this place does it right. Try... More
