Fresh Sushi

Enjoyed their Sushi, was fresh and thought their daily roll chefs special was very good. To me it was different then what I get in other cities. Sat at a high table by the window, glass of wine. Like the restaurant, the service was great.

The sushi was good and fresh which was a nice fund when in the middle of the desert. However, the service was impersonal and very slow. We called ahead and still we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. After that, no waiter showed up for over 10 minutes. The waitress just took the order in a mechanical way... More

Don't be scared of sushi in the desert, the fish is shipped in fresh every day. This is some of the best sushi I've had, ranks up there with big city sushi, it's legit. Friendly people, only downside is it gets expensive quickly, but that's typical. I eat here all the time, it rocks.

Moab's best place to eat sushi! And prices were not too high so this is a good place for budget travellers also.

When someone suggested going to a sushi restaurant in Moab I was a little skeptical. It's kind of a remote town so handling and preparing seafood with the care that sushi requires was not something I expected in town better known for mountain bikes and jeeps. But what a nice surprise. The fish is excellent, nicely prepared, and the service... More

Frankie and his team are masters of their craft. I'm from Seattle, which has a pretty decent selection of sushi restaurants, and I can confidently say that I had better sushi at Sabaku than I've had at home. Heck, they'd be well above average in Tokyo. The major concern with a sushi restaurant in the high desert is the freshness... More

Came for the sushi happy hour. Had to wait awhile for the food, but it was packed. Sushi was fresh and tasted great. NOt what we expected to eat in Moab, but loved it.

This spot is truly worth the wait. Yes, it's pricey - as others have noted and as is noted on their menu, their fish is flown in daily from Hawaii. If you want stale fish, there are other places to go. I went with three friends and between us, we pretty much tried every roll on the menu, including the... More

Sabaku (Japanese for "desert", tee hee) is serious about serving tasty things. The sushi rolls incorporate unusual elements like citrus, macadamia nuts, mangoes and seared elk meat... and they do it well! This is the first time I haven't even ordered nigirizushi at a sushi place. You don't need to. Pull out your wallet and get the rolls (with some... More
