√ out the "cannon ball" in the ceiling

The service was a bit slow, but they worked hard and it was early in the season. Food ok, beer better, deck was a great place to chill.

Very excellent local brews (Seneca). We met and chatted with a chap who is currently walking the Appalachian Trail which passes through. From Georgia to Maine in 6 months = wow!

Good place to go in the lower town for a beer and a bite to eat. They have a limited beer selection but what they have is good. The beer/cheese dipping sauce for the pretzel appetizer needs some work. The sauce is too thin. I thing it is literally beer and cheese melted together. Since you are in the lower... More

Earlier today, this restaurant, along with adjoining businesses, were damaged due to a terrible fire. This restaurant was gutted. Not much else to report at this time.

Needed a break on walking and found one, after a no go at a different establishment for lack of service. At this one we were greeted and waited on quickly. The beer was cold and good as we enjoy a craft or smaller run brewery. The meals were excellent, fish and chips and crab cake. Fish was beer battered on... More

Was looking for a kid-friendly place to eat that wasn't just ice cream and Private Quinn's pub filled the bill. We were able to sit down, cool off, and everyone found something to eat. Reuben, fish n chips, chicken fingers and pizza. Food was fine, interesting building. However, if you have trouble walking this may not be a good choice,... More

The food was average. Against my better judgement I ordered the same thing as my husband, which was the special of the day - barbecue sandwich. The sandwich was ok and was accompanied with an average coleslaw and not so good baked beans. The beans were very dry and just not good. I enjoyed the rustic look of the restaurant... More

After being seated we waited for about 10 minutes before our waiter took our drink order. took about another 10 minutes to get the drinks and the waiter said he would be back to get our food order. Finally had to... More

This was a pretty good place to eat. It was a hot and muggy day and the doors were open so flys did come in. The building is old but reasonably clean and the food was good. Wait staff was a little inattentive but over all it was reasonable and the price was not so high. Climbing a steep set... More

We were in Harper's Ferry on a rainy day...The one decent looking restaurant was closed because it rained. (really?). We chose Private Quinn's Pub...disappointing. Service was SLOW, food was mediocre at best and the entire place could stand a good cleaning. skip it...

Thank Gail G
