My family and I enjoyed a Fall afternoon on the upper deck, outside seating. The view across the river to the fading Fall foliage was very nice. The small but distinct selection of local brews on tap was a treat. The food is very good for a pub, and I thoroughly enjoyed the BLT. The service was... read more

It is a very cute little place - there is both seating downstairs and upstairs (stairs going up are VERY tight and narrow.) The food was just ok to me I had some kind of veggie sandwich, my friend had the cheesesteak and she said it was very good. There aren't many services to they are kind of running around... More

Just stopped in last weekend for lunch with the family and it was great. We started off with the nachos and a few drinks. The sangria and local brew were excellent. For lunch I had the ruben it was very tasty, my wife had the fish and chips also very good. The kids were happy with there food and our... More

You definitely get your money's worth. I thought the food was very good. The portions are huge. And they had some pretty good beer from a local brewery.

they advertised the best fish n chips in the town. i don't know how the Americans like their fish n chips but it didn't match my idea of great fish n chip. the chips were crisp but almost totally crisp fat edge and no potato in the middle, they made macca's fries seem healthy. the fish was a solid slab,... Nice place for a cold beer or wine. Typical pub food of burgers, fries, salad. All freshly prepared. Friendly and helpful server.

A friend and I decided to stop into Private Quinn's for drinks after spending the afternoon hiking and site-seeing in Harpers Ferry. The view of the train station and surrounding area from the upstairs deck was quaint and our drinks were decent, but that's about where the goodness ended. Service was painfully slow, and our conversation was interrupted several times... More

Very cool place. Walk around --- up the narrow stairs to the bar and then outside. Shows what a real pub looked like in the mid-1800's. We both had the fish and chips which were generous helping-wise but unremarkable taste-wise. As we sat out on the ground floor porch, we were not allowed to have a beer because of a... More

I got the turkey club and ended up with several pieces of white deli meat paper in my sandwich!! I actually ate a bite of it and the. When I took the second bit, I pulled out a square piece of paper. It was disgusting! Also the house made chips could have been good but they were cold and soggy.... More

One of the best hamburgers I've had all year. :) That, plus the setting of the 2nd-floor balcony deck looking out over one of historic Harpers Ferry's main streets (and a mere 30 yards from the train station if you're travelling that way) make for a very satisfying meal.
