Very cool place. Walk around --- up the narrow stairs to the bar and then outside. Shows what a real pub looked like in the mid-1800's. We both had the fish and chips which were generous helping-wise but unremarkable taste-wise. As we sat out on the ground floor porch, we were not allowed to have a beer because of a... More

I got the turkey club and ended up with several pieces of white deli meat paper in my sandwich!! I actually ate a bite of it and the. When I took the second bit, I pulled out a square piece of paper. It was disgusting! Also the house made chips could have been good but they were cold and soggy.... More

One of the best hamburgers I've had all year. :) That, plus the setting of the 2nd-floor balcony deck looking out over one of historic Harpers Ferry's main streets (and a mere 30 yards from the train station if you're travelling that way) make for a very satisfying meal.

Stopped in for supper, but were unimpressed by the menu, so just had a beer and some snacks. Food was okay, but that's all. Good beer, though! This restaurant could use some renovations. A bit grubby and outdated. Nice waitstaff!

Stopped in for a beer after checking in at the ATC Office up the hill. Perfect timing - sat in the bar upstairs while a violent rainstorm quickly passed through! No A/C but worth stopping in. Be sure to look UP near the restrooms - check out the civil war cannonball lodged into the original housing!

Cheerful service with a smile just made my turkey sandwich (sweet pub sauce with a little kick) w/onion rings and my friend's Reuben w/the fruit&vegetable salad even more enjoyable. The outdoor seating on the upper terrace is definitely the way to go. The lemonade was a good balance of sweet and tart. Reasonable prices for the quality of the meals... More

In Harpers Ferry with some friends and went for a late lunch/early dinner. Our waiter was really great and attentive, but it was one of the dirtiest places I've ever eaten. If I wasn't with a group I'd have left. We sat on the deck and there was trash all over the ground, lots of flies as well. Food was... More

I just dropped in for a beer, I am glad I didn't want to eat, the flies were bad. Had a local brew, it was pretty good.

Our family went here for lunch and enjoyed a delicious meal and great drinks. The staff was courteous and knowledgable. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. I recommend this pub.

We were told we wouldn't find anything open on a Monday night so we were happy to find Private Quinn's was open for business. The food was only so-so, but the barmaid was friendly and the local brews were good and cold. Unfortunately, after doing a bit more walking around downtown we found several restaurants that were open--and they looked... More
